I saw Stray Kids at KCon in New York this summer, and the crowd was soooo hyped for them!! They gave awesome performances, both at Club KCon on Friday night, and at the concert on Saturday. Seen some fancams that the screams are okay, so the screams could be muted. This is a rookie group with not so much exposure pre-debut (except the Straykids show itself, Changbin in SMTM5 - which I could not find any video at all regardless of how hard I search). Other groups have been showcasing their trainees, even shoved 3-5 trainees on more than 2 reality shows just so people would know them pre-debut. This is a rookie group who had never sung a single sexy/love song (after debuting). They are loved simply for their talent and meaningful songs and that makes me super proud. I appreciate the fact that Straykids, mostly underaged are not forced to do sexy concept simply because that sells, but remained true to their music. Everytime I see them perform, I see hunger and passion in them, hunger not for fame or to compete to others to eventually show who's better and what not; but to simply reach for their dreams and show people they are at least worth listening to! Their burning passion fuels them to be the one of the best performers kpop has ever produced.

Most of the time in sk rookies have a hard time to get cheers bcz they don't know the chants or simply bcz they're rookies, thats why shows tend to invite big idols like Exo, wanna one, bts, twice...etc bcz those have actual fandoms that know how to cheer and thus if a rookie hypes them like stray kids did here or gIdle in MMA, theyll cheer loud (I know wanna one fandom was there but even them didn't get as much as usual, guess the venue is small too). But here? Mostly public made of general people even the lights are mostly of phones. So it's kinda a weird crowd. Like in MMA ppl said it was boring crowd with good performances but sincerely? MMA had cheers (more for popular groups like wanna one and bts or btob obvioulsy and a good venue actually, but you could at least hear cheers when the performer hyped it like mamamoo stage even tho they don't have a real fandom they made the crowd into fire, same with gdile, their performance in MMA was better but obviously it was bcz the venue was better) it truly feels like mama didn't put the budget bcz most are rookies. Like.... I you gonna do it half assed just don't do it. If they just did two shows or just one each year in a country with all groups it would be better, at least rookies would get cheers.

To be honest, it wasn't the strongest vocal performance I've heard from them, but their energy was great, and the dance collab with The Boyz was awesome. What is wrong with this crowd??? I saw Stray Kids at KCon in New York this summer, and the crowd was soooo hyped for them!! They gave awesome performances, both at Club KCon on Friday night, and at the concert on Saturday. This crowd is just....dead.
Well they have a more international following than they do in Korea which could explain the difference. But either way the crowd made me so angry.

Seen some fancams that the screams are okay, so the screams could be muted. This is a rookie group with not so much exposure pre-debut (except the Straykids show itself, Changbin in SMTM5 - which I could not find any video at all regardless of how hard I search). Other groups have been showcasing their trainees, even shoved 3-5 trainees on more than 2 reality shows just so people would know them pre-debut. This is a rookie group who had never sung a single sexy/love song (after debuting). They are loved simply for their talent and meaningful songs and that makes me super proud. I appreciate the fact that Straykids, mostly underaged are not forced to do sexy concept simply because that sells, but remained true to their music. Everytime I see them perform, I see hunger and passion in them, hunger not for fame or to compete to others to eventually show who's better and what not; but to simply reach for their dreams and show people they are at least worth listening to! Their burning passion fuels them to be the one of the best performers kpop has ever produced.
Yara A preach! Stray kids has become my ultimate group because of the fact that they step out of the field of love songs and make music that can truly speak to me and so many other people.

Most of the time in sk rookies have a hard time to get cheers bcz they don't know the chants or simply bcz they're rookies, thats why shows tend to invite big idols like Exo, wanna one, bts, twice...etc bcz those have actual fandoms that know how to cheer and thus if a rookie hypes them like stray kids did here or gIdle in MMA, theyll cheer loud (I know wanna one fandom was there but even them didn't get as much as usual, guess the venue is small too). But here? Mostly public made of general people even the lights are mostly of phones. So it's kinda a weird crowd. Like in MMA ppl said it was boring crowd with good performances but sincerely? MMA had cheers (more for popular groups like wanna one and bts or btob obvioulsy and a good venue actually, but you could at least hear cheers when the performer hyped it like mamamoo stage even tho they don't have a real fandom they made the crowd into fire, same with gdile, their performance in MMA was better but obviously it was bcz the venue was better) it truly feels like mama didn't put the budget bcz most are rookies. Like.... I you gonna do it half assed just don't do it. If they just did two shows or just one each year in a country with all groups it would be better, at least rookies would get cheers.
