    Great cellar 🤙🏻🍷 I would have loved to see you do the brickwork wallpaper in there too.

      Thank you! I considered it and also thought about stacked stone on the back wall but decided to keep it simple in the end.

      @@JeffMarxWoodworking our wine room is located in the basement of the house we just built. It is 20’x11’x8’. Our cement walls and floor are all insulated. I planned for the condensate line to be incorporated prior to the cement being poured. The interior walls are 2x10 and we elected to go with spray foam insulation in the walls and ceiling. I went with a brick pattern tile floor. Unfortunately I am not as talented as you ….. I ordered all of my wine racks. I went with mahogany wood. My father and I spent about 2 full weeks gluing and brad nailing them. I chose to go with Breezaire for our chilling unit. A neighbor has one and it has worked flawlessly for over 9 years. So far I love the breezaire. I purchased a Govee wine room thermometer which allows me to monitor the room temp with my smartphone no mater where I am. I strongly recommend the Govee….it provides a detailed history of the temperature and humidity in the room. I think it cost me $29 with free shipping…well worth the money. Currently the wine racks are “in place”. We need to connect them to each other and then to the walls and to the underside of the soffits. I purchased an old chandelier at an auction and I am currently cleaning and rewiring it now. Outside of the room we will have a work top/desk area to process the wine. This is where the computer will go. I am using the cellar tracker app to manage my inventory. I purchased the handheld scanner which allows you to scan the bar codes - makes it easier when entering the wine. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress.

      The door latch was originally put in backwards and at 15:48 it is magically turned the correct direction. 👊👊👊

      @@foreal8691 yeah, that was a good one. I was annoyed having done that but this hardware is so great to work with it only took a couple of minutes to swap it around. 👍

    beautiful job! thank you for the details... going to do something similar. (though, and i can't help but laugh cause it would be something i would do, the door knob latching mechanism, i assume that was installed backwards to start - i noticed all the sudden at 15:52 it changed direction) :)

      So funny, you're right. Normally I show and talk about my mistakes but I didn't think there was much to learn other than... put the latch in the right direction, um, yeah... Thanks so much for watching and the nice comment!

      I use a cool app called Cellartracker and I input drinking (aging) windows for everything. The app can then suggest what order to drink them in. Thanks for the suggestion, watching, and the nice comment! Jeff

    Is the paperwork you win inventory.

    • @JeffMarxWoodworking
      @JeffMarxWoodworking  Год назад +1

      At this stage of the build, I had to keep moving things around and so having an inventory sheet w description and price paid for each wine was super useful. Now that the wine cellar is fully done,I have the inventory fully captured in cellartracker with proper location information, which is a great resource. I was able to get rid of the sheets as each wine found it's temporary home. The whole build series is now almost complete pending my editing and posting the final video of building small upper cabinets for wine glasses. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
