Totally agree with you regarding the timing issue with the Axeforce 80. Even after 10 hours of playtime with it, I still occasionally flopped on timing for relatively easy shots like a lob. My suspicion is its sweet spot is actually smaller than we think it is and it punishes off-centered shots rather harshly. It's odd that Chen Long would switch to this racket from his N55, because they are quite different in many aspects.

The tectonic series are lining's most easy to use high end rackets. Tectonic 7 and tectonic 9 are incredibly easy to use by beginner/intermediate player. While aeronaut series (especially 7000-9000 aeronaut) are one of the hardest lining racket to use.

AXF80: Loved that from the first second and did not struggle with the timing at all. I am certain being used to Yonex' stiffer shafts made adjusting way harder for you than for me who has been using rather flexible LN rackets for years now. 2. Tectonic 9: Had a hard time on the contrary adjusting to this one, just not used to that stiffness... It is actually 2g heavier than the AXF80 and carries way more headweight (more than any other racket I own including other headheavy options such as the Tectonic 7C, N55 or N90-2 despite having a lower Balance Point). It was the slowest of this trio imo but the stiffness is probably the closest the current LN range of rackets comes to Yonex^^ 3. Aeronaut 9000C: Having measured all 3 rackets with pretty much the same grip setup, this one is even heavier than the Tectonic 9 is second in line when it comes to headweight, beating the afformentioned (probably due to the general weight and the added bulk of the Airstream system). If you keep the crazy headweight and overall weight in mind, I would say this racket actually is quite fast and beats out both the AXF80 and T9 in 3U (I guess the Airstream system does its job there, but hard to tell without having a 9000C without the Airstream vents for direct comparison). Also, these square grommets can be bought from Asia. If I recall correctly, they should be (or at least were) available to purchase via the e1981 or shopnings website (have ordered several times from both and both are highly reliable). You probably won't even need to buy these square grommets any time soon, as they are really high quality and last for ages^^ Keep up the good work and I hope to see some more LN stuff (maybe shoes too?) in the future💪
Nice review, 9000c vs 88d vs 100zz review would be great! I have the 9000i (and 88d) and besides the weight it's quite comparable with 88d (2nd gen). Though 5u, it has chonky head heaviness to it ~315-320mm which helps with the racket speed. Stick smashes are deadly and very easy to creat massive angles. I found ultimate power is lacking but anything that's below 80% power is on point. Being very honest, I find giving 88d 110% and on target is quite hard to get consistently because the flex. The 9000i is more solid than the 88d which I prefer. If there was a stiffer version of the 88d or 4u version of 9000i (possibly the 9000c?? ) would probably be my ideal preference. PS don't forget you can string these to 30lbs! Paint on it is much much more durable than yonex!
Going to go full geek now since I'm starting it, the 88d has (my opinion) non linear flex, there is a step in the shaft and different flex in the head. I can't quite tell what this is but as you increase power the timing changes. I find it unstable or harder to snap at shots 'freely', really need to think about it beforehand. Obviously it is me not used to the racket but a year on I can still feel there is a learning curve to this flex.
lining sells the gommets in a box which contains the round as well as square grommets. in either box of red or black. only downside of square grommets is needs to changed more often wtih stringing as you can only rotate it once when restring. where as for round grommets it can be rotated for up to 4 times if you one really dislike changing the grommets.
Hi CK, i’ve been using the 88s pro for the past year and i’m interested to get a lining racket for an extra racket. Do you have a suggestion on which lining racket to go for? If possible i would like to get one that has closest feel to the 88s pro. Thank you!
Yess CK, great review mate. Been waiting for this. Your reviews are pretty much spot on to what I was saying before. Now that I've used the Axforce 80 for over a week I've gotten used to it and overall the Axforce 80 has now taken my number 1 spot over my long time regular match racket the 9000C. The Tectonic I find a bit sluggish but that's probably because it's a little heavy for doubles. I use the 9000C in 3U but the Tectonic in 3U definitely feels more sluggish for me. Top stuff mate. Looking forward to the Arc 11 pro now.
I would want to see the difference between the bladex 700, 800 new & old and 900. Really to see the comparison of the bladex 800 new; green and old the black, red
FYI, the AXFORCE 80 you review is not what Chen Long use. The Chen Long use are 3U, more stiffer shaft. For AXFORCE 80 series, Lining made 3U,4U,5U with medium flexible shaft dan 3U with stiff shaft. I guest Lining made the medium flexible version so a lot of people can easily use the racket.
@@CKYew I got my arm injured using a super flexy shaft. I m a player with very short punchy stroke. On low power hits and long strokes flexy shaft aids power generation and control. It was very comfortable to play with but once I go into more high power shots it seems the racquet absorbs some of my wrist and arm output and forces me to literally hit harder and harder causing the injury.
I currently use Tectonic 7. I play both double and single and am seeking for all-round racket, slight head heavy. Should I change to Axforce 80 for a better attack feelings. If not, can you suggest some racket I should try. Tksm ❤
Nice review. I'm just waiting for my order to come is the Tokyo Olympics color of the 9000 C. I'm using the N9-II at the moment. Thank you for the nice video 📸
What should i choose between the Axforce 80 and the Astrox 77 Pro? I'm a Low intermediate player with a preference to all-around(leaning towards attacking) playstyle.
nice video, how about the quality of the lining rackets, will you be switching to Lining ? if yes can you please let us know your current yonex racket and which lining racket would you go for?
@@CKYew hi ck, i have bought the 100zz after asking some opinions in your chatbox a few months ago. i have the 4u kurenai and tbh it doesn’t really give me that power i expected it to have. Like the raw power or attacking power and etc. don’t get me wrong it is really a good all rounder racquet imo. Many asked me not to get the astrox 88d pro or 99 pro because it feels around the same (in terms of a 2nd racquet in my arsenal haha). Do u think i should get the 3d calibar 900c? Many of my friends recommended me this. Whatabout other attacking racquet alternatives that u suggest? Ax force 80?
@@Coconutballsack I think you shouldnt buy 900c, if you can generate power in astrox100 zz 4u, i heard 900c is extra shift to with weight at 88-89 gram, it will more difficult for you i think
My main racket just broke yesterday and now in the market for a new on. Video came at a good time as I've always tended to lean towards yonex however this time round I'm going to purchase either babolat/ashaway/lining/Victor to see if they're intermediate rackets have better value for money
Hi, a great review. I specially like how you compared each racket feel with Yonex rackets. Now I know procuring rackets is difficult, as you are not a sponsored guy. But maybe make video on top 5 doubles rackets including multiple manufactures i.e Yonex, lining and victor. And if possible select rackets which are easy to play with and not consider 100zz due to its extra stiff shaft and for eg AXForce 80 from this video due it's playability issues. If it's not possible, it's not an issue I still like your content ☺️😜
As i've not tested all the recent top end rackets from all major manufacturers, i dont want to make recommendations just based on specs as I dont think that's right. Once I've tested enough rackets, those comparisons will come 👍
How a racket feels is mostly down to personal preferences. The AXF80 is imo a very easy racket to use if you are used to flexible-medium flexible rackets and I had more problems with the AN9000C and Tectonic 9. Best is to try the racket yourself if possible, as a review by any other player than yourself won't automatically apply to your individual stroke style and timing preferences.
Ahhh, good to see some manufacturer variation. I’ve been considering a 3D Calibar 900B but there’s no real English content on it. Would be interested to see a review on that as well. I’d also be interested to see some multi-manufacturer group tests which, again, don’t seem to be a thing for badminton rackets for some reason. Maybe broken down into a video per category? So best singles, balanced doubles, front court doubles and rear court doubles rackets categories or something like that. And then the best racket each manufacturer suggests for those out head to head?
hi there. i have been using 9000c and thinking of getting the another different racket. i got the lining n9II but find the swing hollow compared to 9000c. an thinking of getting 100zz but have never tried. i did try zforce II and it feels nice. so now zoom down to 100zz and tectonic 9. how to 100zz campare to 9000c and tectonic 9? thanks
Nice review as usual. Good job. Wanna ask for a comparison, 4u lining axforce 80 and 4u yonex 88d 1 st generation, which racket is more maneuverable for fast drive and defence?
If you measure your feet with a ruler or tape measure, you wont go wrong. I made a shoe size chart for Yonex here: www.ckyew.com/post/yonex-badminton-shoes-size-chart
I am using Axforce 80, which I like it, but I am looking for the second racket for the replacement when I need to change for the attacking game. Any suggestions? Or should I wait for Arc 11 pro?
Hi CK. What a great explanation there. Which Li Ning would you recommend me to replace my Yonex Astrox 100zz? I've broke my 100zz twice already, and i would like to try on Li Ning brand.
What is your view about the quality of Li Ning items in general compared to other brands? Ever since the news of their pro player getting their toe sliced open by Li Ning shoes, I've been quite wary of their products. Would love to hear an outside opinion on it.
Cant comment about shoes as my last Li Ning pair of shoes was about 10 years ago but in terms of racket production, its certainly right up there with the very best. Designs are very futuristic, very well produced high quality product. 👍
Hi CK Yew, about the AX 80. Despite the flexibility, do you think the frame is stable enough to get good precision and control like the Tectonic 7 and the 3D calibar 900i ? Thanks for the answer. Yves
Hi I am an intermediate badminton player, and I am wondering if you could do a comparison video between the Axforce 80 and the Astrox 100zz? I heard that Astrox 100zz is not suitable for players less than advanced as you will not be able to generate it's potential power.
Good question! There's none unfortunately as they're virtually none existent and lots of europe distributors also refuse to ship to the UK due to Brexit 🤯

Yea theres an axforce 80 CL edition
Medium shafts don’t like me 😭😭😂
@@CKYew I got my arm injured using a super flexy shaft. I m a player with very short punchy stroke. On low power hits and long strokes flexy shaft aids power generation and control. It was very comfortable to play with but once I go into more high power shots it seems the racquet absorbs some of my wrist and arm output and forces me to literally hit harder and harder causing the injury.
Please compared 3D calibar 900i vs Aeronout 9000i ,
They’re so hard to get hold of! 😂
Rackets in case of design
According to me
Yonex: fine
Victor: nice
Lining: legendary
Paintjob looks 🔥🔥
Finally ! Other brands comparison ! I am looking forward for Victor series !
We never know what'll happen 🤣🤣
look at Victor rackets also plz
Would love to see you review the Thurster and Jetspeed rackets👏
There’s too many rackets out there 😂😂
@@CKYew would love to see your thoughts on the top end thruster rackets
I currently use Tectonic 7. I play both double and single and am seeking for all-round racket, slight head heavy. Should I change to Axforce 80 for a better attack feelings. If not, can you suggest some racket I should try. Tksm ❤
Some Li Ning coverage! Excited to see what you think :D
Edit: I spy 65z3's on your feet 👀
Shhhhhhhhhh!!! 😆😆😆😆
If possible please review the Li Ning Aeronaut 9000 I
That's a super hard one to get hold of
Nice review..please review Lining Bladex 800..
They’re impossible to get hold of!!
haha, if Meor is up for that, I'm happy to review it 🤣🤣👍
Nice review. I'm just waiting for my order to come is the Tokyo Olympics color of the 9000 C. I'm using the N9-II at the moment. Thank you for the nice video 📸
Hope you enjoy it!
What should i choose between the Axforce 80 and the Astrox 77 Pro? I'm a Low intermediate player with a preference to all-around(leaning towards attacking) playstyle.
Can you explain the meaning behind the different types of butt caps lining rackets have??
All 3 looked the same to me
@@CKYew not particularly the three but some of them have boring simple butt caps where as some of them have glossy, shining premium feeling caps...
These 3 had the glossy shiny ones 👍
Ur hair cut is legit niceee 👍🏻 🔥
Thanks 🔥 I've passed your very kind message to the person who does my hair 🤣🤣👍👍
@@CKYew I'm serious tat this hair cut is nice, cuz this hair cut is like more refreshing looking type haha
🤣
Compare these with Yonex duora z strike , astrox 100 and voltric z force 2
All head heavy sledge hammers huh 😂😂
@@CKYew 😂
But it will be great to see which is better amoungst Yonex and lining!
nice video, how about the quality of the lining rackets, will you be switching to Lining ? if yes can you please let us know your current yonex racket and which lining racket would you go for?
No I won’t be switching to these rackets lol 😂😂 I’m sticking with my Astrox 88d Pro 😂
@@CKYew thanks CK 😊
@@Coconutballsack I think you shouldnt buy 900c, if you can generate power in astrox100 zz 4u, i heard 900c is extra shift to with weight at 88-89 gram, it will more difficult for you i think
My main racket just broke yesterday and now in the market for a new on. Video came at a good time as I've always tended to lean towards yonex however this time round I'm going to purchase either babolat/ashaway/lining/Victor to see if they're intermediate rackets have better value for money
Do let us know how you get on!
Good advice 👍👍
Ahhh, good to see some manufacturer variation.
I’ve been considering a 3D Calibar 900B but there’s no real English content on it. Would be interested to see a review on that as well.
I’d also be interested to see some multi-manufacturer group tests which, again, don’t seem to be a thing for badminton rackets for some reason.
Maybe broken down into a video per category? So best singles, balanced doubles, front court doubles and rear court doubles rackets categories or something like that.
And then the best racket each manufacturer suggests for those out head to head?
Good suggestions. Its very hard to get hold of any Li Ning rackets in the UK especially when there's no distribution channels here.
Pls compare with 88d pro and Astrox 99 pro
👍🏼👍🏼
Can you compare the 88d 2018 with the calibar 900c plsssss
Me as an Astrox 88D Pro big fan, is it suitable for me to get the Tectonic 9 or Aeronaut 9000?
Have you play the Wucht P8 racquet? Can I play this racquet with average hand strength?
I’ve not tried this model but all rackets are fine for us general public 😊
hi there. i have been using 9000c and thinking of getting the another different racket. i got the lining n9II but find the swing hollow compared to 9000c. an thinking of getting 100zz but have never tried. i did try zforce II and it feels nice. so now zoom down to 100zz and tectonic 9. how to 100zz campare to 9000c and tectonic 9? thanks
100ZZ is certainly crisper and faster compared to Tectonic 9
Nice review as usual. Good job. Wanna ask for a comparison, 4u lining axforce 80 and 4u yonex 88d 1 st generation, which racket is more maneuverable for fast drive and defence?
AxForce 80. its so so quick.
@@CKYew cool. Why is it so quick? It has a smaller frame, like nf800?
@@CKYew What about shaft stiffness? Less stiff?
happy cny to you🍊🍊 2022
Thank you and you too!!
do you wear 65z3 same size compare to adidas ultraboost? (i dont own any yonex shoes)
If you measure your feet with a ruler or tape measure, you wont go wrong. I made a shoe size chart for Yonex here: www.ckyew.com/post/yonex-badminton-shoes-size-chart
can you review
Victor JetSpeed S 12 II I am confused which to buy
I am using Axforce 80, which I like it, but I am looking for the second racket for the replacement when I need to change for the attacking game. Any suggestions? Or should I wait for Arc 11 pro?
Why not have another AxForce 80 as a backup?
@@CKYew Thank you for your advice. Your review is valuable.
Hi CK. What a great explanation there. Which Li Ning would you recommend me to replace my Yonex Astrox 100zz? I've broke my 100zz twice already, and i would like to try on Li Ning brand.
How did you even break 2??!! 😂😂
Try axforce 90 dragon to replace zz, they feel similar
@@setyaandaru6112 what ? no way they feel similar. axforce 80-90's shaft is flexible. 100zz's extra stiff.
Very nice quality, much better than Yonex in terms of build quality, paint and design
can suggest which is better out of three for power and control?
They're all good on their own, its just up to your personal preferences
better axforce 80 4U or astrox 88 s pro 4u??? for play doubles. and what string for best repulsion? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
It’s all down to your own personal preference. Both rackets are super fast!!
Hi CK Yew, about the AX 80.
Despite the flexibility, do you think the frame is stable enough to get good precision and control like the Tectonic 7 and the 3D calibar 900i ?
Thanks for the answer.
Yves
I think so! A lot of it will be down to the preference, timing and technique of the player 👌
@@CKYew Excellent answer, so i will play like Yuta Watanabe soon 😁
That’s the plan!!! 👌👌😊
Hi I am an intermediate badminton player, and I am wondering if you could do a comparison video between the Axforce 80 and the Astrox 100zz? I heard that Astrox 100zz is not suitable for players less than advanced as you will not be able to generate it's potential power.
I use 100zz (3u) for double and looking for spare racket and considering axforce 90 tiger. Any suggestion?
If you like your 100ZZ, why not get another one?
where is the shop
Great reviews. Where is the best place to buy li Ning rackets in the uk .
Good question! There's none unfortunately as they're virtually none existent and lots of europe distributors also refuse to ship to the UK due to Brexit 🤯
Awesome bro!!! Finally you made it!!! Compare Astrox 99 Pro vs Ling Axforce 80 Vs Victor THRUSTER F CLAW... If possible!!! 😇
Thanks for the idea!
@@CKYew you are most welcome!!
would you replace any of these for your 88D pro for doubles players?
I'm not leaving my 88D Pros 🤣🤣
@@CKYew you’re using 4u or 3u? I heard 4u is very light because of the rotation technology
I'm on the 4U. 👍
@@tommytan6756 yeah i bought the 4U last week its not that head heavy. but with right technique you can really take advantage of the rotational system thingy.
Ck, i saw yuta watanabe used axforce in thomas cup. Any idea why he change the racket?
Maybe he likes it 😂
do u hv lining bladex zhang nan???🙏🙏🙏🙏 please review.... ❤️❤️❤️
Unfortunately not :(
If you want to compare this 3 Racket with Yonex Racket, Maybe compare it with Astrox 100zz, Astrox 99 and Astrox 77 which was a Single Player Racket
👍👍
For power and attacking play, do you prefer Axforce 80 or aeronaut 9000 ? im a rear court player
Hi CK, may I know your opinion on which one you prefer. Lining Axforce max 90 tiger or Aeronaut 9000c. Thanks
I havent tested the AxForce 90 yet so I cant tell. But out of the 9000 series, i prefer the normal plain 9000.
@@CKYew i see thanks for your feedback on them. Best of luck for you always
Aww no turbocharging 80 review was hoping for that since its just so good looking! Good video otherwise 😅 also the axforce 80 thats readily available to the public is a medium stiffbess racket while the axforce 80 CL version is the one that chen long used in the olympics and thats one is stiff
Li ning equipment is almost impossible to get hold of in the U.K.
Wrong information bruh
@@jasonpark5301 what information is wrong?
Hi CK Yew I love your analysis, but I would like to ask you, where do you get lining rackets from in UK?
haha! Good question! These did not originate from the UK, i had to import them
could you compare the 9000c to the astrox 88D pro and the arcsaber 11 pro? I am on the 9000c and was wanting if its any good to make the switch to the other 2
I personally prefer the 88d pro as well as the 11 pro over the 9000c but that’s me. All 3 are amazing rackets but they each have their own unique features 👍🏼

Nice review. Could you review 3d Calibar 900c?
Its almost impossible for me to get hold of any Li-Ning rackets in the UK so i'll see what i can do
Hey CK. Any idea where we can buy genuine replacement Li Ning grommets in the UK?
Good question! I've never seen them sold anywhere but standard grommets should fit the rackets fine too!
Please tell me which racquets are good
Yonex or Lining
Nice review, please review Li-Ning bladeX 800
😬
What is your opinion on these three li-ning rackets compared to the voltric ZF2 in terms of raw power?
ZF2 might have the most raw power but is also harder to play with.
Hi, I was wondering whether you knew the actual weight of the ax 80 strung? Mindful that 4U doesn’t mean a great deal when we don’t know how they’ve measured it. Strung / unstrung and or with or without a grip fitted
I think they measure the frames unstrung but unsure if stock grip was fitted during measurement
How is li ning Superlight max 10 vs wind lite sleath
CK YEW, as you review so many racket. Can you advice me, which next racket should i buy ? I'm amateur's player, skill medium level. Previously, using ArcSaber 11 1st Gen for quite some time. Thinking to buy LiNing brand model, which are similar with the arcsaber, but add on more little attacking. As no matter how hard i smash, the feeling like not sharp or power enough. Can you advice any LiNing model are similar and add on more attacking. I do try Yonex 88S pro, but seem the shaft is too hard. Cant really generate the power on it to smash it. Im using 26/27lbs tension. Thanks.
If the 88s pro feels stiff and you wanted lining. Go for the axforce 80 4u
@@CKYew thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻

Hi CK Yew I love your analysis 👌💯
Can you do a video where you can cross two of your videos. 1 Yonex ultimate power series which includes 100zz 99pro 88dpro zforce vs the recent lining video where you have tectonic9, aeronaut9000c and ax. Can you compare all these rackets and put the in a series. That will be one hell of a video. Love from India
Brother, yesterday i bought tectonic 9 at 5u, i didn't get the chance to play with it, just one question, m i gonna get decent smash power with 5u. Using the string BG66 ultimax
2 days back i bought lining tectonic 9 5u version coz I play doubles most of the time. How's the power brother.
@CKYew I think I speak for all if you do a 'similar rackets' video across the brands 'Yonex', 'Victor' and 'Lining'. For example which Lining/ Victor racket is most similar to Astrox 100zz and which Yonex/ Lining racket is similar to Victor Thruster Ryuga, with key differences and your opinion on which one is better?
