Neze, I just watched the video of egusi soup contest you cooked with your mother in-law Mamaville three years ago. In fact, Mamaville won you by far. She cooked it exactly the way I do cook and like. You do not fry (bleach) egusi soup because it has oil and it doesn’t need too much oil either. Also, you do not put vegetables first before fish. Vegetable should be the last thing to add after you must have added all the ingredients because it doesn’t need to stay a long time on fire to retain its nutrients, even though your reason for putting the fish was to prevent it from scattering, still it needs to be added before the vegetables. In fact, your mother in-law has a very good experience of cooking. I like her style 😅
