Hey as someone who’s autistic i really appreciate the sound warning. Even though it wasn’t *that* loud compared to other trigger warnings I’ve seen it’s still appreciated that you put that up there for a sudden and violent sound. Thank you!
I feel like I'm being gaslit by the comments. Everyone is commenting on how beautiful her voice is but I litterally can bot hear her over that piano😭😭😭 Help, what are the lyrics to this song?!
My brother has been the head of sound in our plays and musicals these past few years, and he loves to randomly play sounds or speak into the god mic randomly to startle all of us. One show, we had a sound of a clarinet for one of the combat scenes, and my brother randomly played it during rehearsal, and it made some of our actors jump. It's quite funny. I'm not an actor, but I hope they find our tech shenanigans as fun as we do.
The funniest thing to happen to me was during a performance of the pirates of penzance the sound tech accidentally turned on everyone's microphones while we were backstage and let me say the ensuing chaos onstage was pure comedy. The lead just played it off but some of the others just burst out laughing.
Sound director in question here: she wasn’t miked for rehearsal, and that rehearsal space has all the acoustics of a Five Guys at lunchtime. Rest assured: mikes were used and balance was MUCH better in performance! 😊
I was the sound effect technician during my high school's run of Wizard of Oz and GREATLY enjoyed scaring the pants off the entire cast with the booming thunder sound effects. The first time we used them the surprise made Oz forget his lines!
I was in a show whose first sounde cue was breaking glass. We'd be in the theatre stretching and warming up and the board op would forget to announce they were doing a cue check every. single. day. Just no warning: "KSHHHH!" "THANK you noise!" "Whoops, sorry guys!"
Can relate. Not a musical, but my finals for my program demanded to produce from scratch and play in front of a public (about 60 people). The first night, just as we were about to start the console breaks and we had to play without our audio cues. We did really well, but I was kinda disappointed it happened in the first place.
The guy we have for sound is the same dor the highschool show and the community show, and he will teat out the sounds while we warm up. For our recent community show we did jersey boys, which include a gun shot. The gun shot was the very first sound effect that plays in the show so it would scare everyone every time. In the down stairs area where we hung out when we werent in a scene or doing scene changes, there was a speaker so we could listen to whats happening on stage, and in that scene the 2 guys that are talking dont have mics so its just silent then.... POW and the one guy with a mic curses, which for some reason would make us laugh 😂
had something similar one time with our lighting. we were running a scene like normal but apparently our director had a talk with the lighting guy right before and forgot to inform us of the change, so in the middle of the scene the lights dropped then turned completely red. scared the hell out of all of us lol
I probably should have said something beforehand, but I actually only thought of doing it while she was singing. 😂 What impressed me was that the actors onstage kept going like nothing untoward had happened, even while the production crew were busy recovering from cardiac arrest off to the side!
Sound designer in question here! For those inquiring about the sound quality: She wasn’t miked for rehearsal (early run-through), and that rehearsal space has all the acoustics of a Five Guys at lunchtime. Rest assured: mikes were used and balance was MUCH better in performance! 😊 I’d never cover up a voice that good!
the comments complaining about how they cant hear you over the piano are driving me nuts. y'all do know actors typically aren't mic'ed in rehearsals, right??? goodness
Thrifting or vintage clothing stores are not a ‘thing’ in my country as people still give old clothes to younger relatives or those who need it around the neighbourhood. But more and more the clothing itself doesn’t last long enough to be passed down which is incredibly annoying and disheartening. I still have jeans from middle school or hoodies from my older sisters but the jeans I bought 5 years ago is so misshaped I can’t give that to another without shame.
Everyone is so callous in this comment section. Is the poor woman okay? Who cares about the piano or the girls voice. Did that woman have a stroke or heart attack?

This comment plus my dyslexia left me very confused for about 30 seconds
your voice is so effortless
She is for sure putting in effort
she sounds amazing cause she puts in a lot of effort
Idk why people think calling something effortless is a compliment.

Help, what are the lyrics to this song?!
Right!? I understood "if they could see what's in my heart" and "wash this town away."
Same lol
Same in some parts with a bit harder
well it’s just a rehearsal so she’s not mich’ed up yet
Right!!
Do I hear Spitfire Grill? Such an underrated musical 🤩
You do! And agreed, it’s lovely!!
I thought this song sounded familiar. My high school did it my senior year in 2011. Whoooo takes me back!
@RideTheCycloneStonesoup I was coming here to say just that! Rediscovered it this year, and I really need to see it again.

“Deep fried stick of butter!” I swear some of my favorite parts of your videos is when you impersonate Voldemort 😂

That sounds amazing. 🤣
The vocals are so good though, i hope the lady who fainted is okay 😭 🙏
No one fainted lol the character falls which is the inciting incident
YOU SING AMAZING YOU INSPIRE ME SM
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD AHHH!! have the best show ever!! as a fellow theatre girlie i am STUNNED by ur voice omg
Oh, I haven't seen any production of the Spitfire Grill in a LONG time. Brings me back to high school when I was on props for our school's production.
Hopefully the background music is quieter during the performance cause i couldnt hear shit
Or that they put a mic on her.
Sometimes you rehearse without mics and then mic up for dress rehearsal and the actual performance

This reaction was great! Please do the whole series

So grateful for this thoughtful discussion about being in love with IDEAS rather than the usual focus on romance!!! 💖💫💖
As a sound techie for high school, I felt that
My meeeeen her voice is beautiful, seeing rehearsals is making me miss my theater days.
your voice is gorgeous

Omg I’ve literally never seen anyone else do The Spitfire Grill! The music is amazing
For anyone wondering, the show is called Spitfire Grill

Someone check on Grandma😂
LOVE Spitfire Grill! Done that one twice and would do it more if I could. ❤

I wanna more of that voice! What I can hear sounds amazing🤩
Check out our channel! We’ve got a few songs from the show posted!!
I watched this 3 times looking for the loud sound. What am I missing. The piano drowns everything else out.
Omg her voice is beautiful and she is just so prettyy
I feel like i would die in the theater watching someone sing while cleaning
I swear our choir director will pull the funniest shit during theatre rehearsal 😭
SPITFIRE GRILL!!!!
Okay but hold up what is this
Really good
Thank you for the sound warning.
Everything in this video is so cute as usual!! 💗💗
the comments complaining about how they cant hear you over the piano are driving me nuts. y'all do know actors typically aren't mic'ed in rehearsals, right??? goodness
AMAXING VOICREEE😨😨😨
It looks amazing, absolutely beautiful, but I sadly can not hear over that piano🤣
(No hate)
What show is that song from!?!?! You sing it so beautifully
Love! Was the loud noise the smashing sound at the end?
You sound good
Now im mad I didn’t do theatre

You say your director gave you a heart attack but are you sure you didn’t give the director one?
Bro just said 🪦
i'm assuming she'll have a mic on druing the performance because rn the piano is drowning her out
who is here in 2024? 💥💥🔝
Everyone is so callous in this comment section. Is the poor woman okay? Who cares about the piano or the girls voice. Did that woman have a stroke or heart attack?
I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH MEGAN LASKEY LETS GO
If youre looking for a new webtoon. Try out Silent Screams. Trust me.
Oh god is she alright? What happened?
A major plot point!! She’s (the actress) okay, but the character?? Not so much…
@@RideTheCycloneStonesoup Oh! She plays too well I thought it was for real ^^
You sing wonderfully btw
Also ride the cyclone rules
@@RideTheCycloneStonesoup I think it read as that, she was in the background clearly waiting for the perfect prompt and build. Your voice is tops
Blonde guy in the back tho 👀
i’m a cucumber sandwich FIEND
What is supposed to be the “heart attack” part?
What’s the musical?
Spitfire Grill! Stone Soup Theater is performing the show from May 31st to June 9th!
Either they need a mic/it needs to be turned louder, or the pianist needs to learn to play softer😂
Gotta love when the accompaniment is drowning out the singer.
What show is this?
What musical is this?
What musical is this???!!! ❤
“Spitfire Grill” it’s very good and if you’re local to NC you should come see it this week only!!
@@RideTheCycloneStonesoup Oooh thankyou! I would love to but I’m from the uk :(
Can’t hear the singer over the misic
Literally only needed the 2 second clip
Song name?
Coffee Cups and Gossip, from Spitfire Grill!! Our latest show
@@RideTheCycloneStonesoup ahh thank you! I knew it was from the spitfire grill! Wasn’t sure the song title, thanks 💗💗
What happened to the lady that was sitting and fell over?
Is she okay??
Is she ok?? Like nice voice, but is she actually ok??😢
Piano man pipe down!!
I wonder what play this is.
Im so confused what happened?
Is she okay?

The "singing" hurt my ears!
because it was so angelic you just couldnt believe it right? because im just so in awe! the singers voice is perfect imo
Omg the creator is liking every comment 😭😭😭
Piano is too loud to hear everything
That was not that loud
You want a Content warning
Not a trigger warning.
