- 2023 is officially the year of the 3-Yard Quilt!
Each week, a new video will be posted for a quilt made from the 3-Yard book series by Fabric Cafe. Three one yard cuts turn in to one lap sized quilt top. Easy enough, right?
The goal for these quilts is to use as much of my stash as possible in order to clear space for new fabrics, notions and more! In the end, the quilts will be donated to local charities and individuals in need of a new quilt to call their own.

Adorable! The pattern pictures don’t do this quilt justice. It’s a knockout hanging on your wall. First, the frogs are just so stinking cute, also, the sashing and corner squares are a beautiful touch. Thanks for all you do for people in need.
The color combination and the contrast in value make this a really striking quilt. I really like it! I don't mind the frog feet, etc. in the four patches. It's just looks like little splashes of color against the black.
Yay! Perfectly timed! Just pulled YT up for music and saw your upload!
You sure were needeep in those tiny squares😂😂
This quilt is adorable, I wouldn’t change a thing, I love that there are little frog bits in the squares.
Well done, again!
I love the frogs so much!!!🐸

This is my new favorite! I think the tiny blocks with frog bits are hysterical ❤️

That is one of my favorite quilts that you’ve done this year. The musical frogs are just amazing.

LOVE the marching frogs! My musical hubby would love it!
I just love your cutting area and how you can just slide your cutting rulers against the metal ruler! Such a time saver! I love the little frog pieces ! Conversation pieces!
This quilt is adorable! Agree with you on the centers, but I think someone little will love finding the mix of legs, eyes, etc. Very cute pattern.
This is a wonderful quilt! The original fabric is really entertaining! Thank you for this fabulous tutorial! You are really gifted!
Gorgeous fabrics
The froggies are SO cute! Love the colour choices! Your quilt top looks fabulous!
I love those frogs! It looks great! Another thought would be to play around with the border, maybe a skinny inner border and wider border where you could fussy cut cornerstones from the frogs on a black border.
Love this quilt! The frogs are so cute! The fabrics are perfect together!💕
Upside down ! You can see the front any which way the quilt lies! I love it!
Love this color combo … Great job💚💛💙
Love, love, LOVE! This pattern is going to be the next 3-yd quilt I make after I finish the one I am doing now 🥰

I am amazed at your sewing skills! Here I am having to be extra careful to match up my points and you just zoom through everything and it turns out beautiful!
I think you are to critical. It is an awesome Quilt . I love those marching froggies and little feet and bits in the cornerstones are too cute. Love the star fabric too. I totally love the marching band music while you were sewing.

Very nice fabric choices and colors. I love it.
This is an adorable quilt! I make the 3 yard quilts using the twin size and it makes a great size quilt. I don’t always use 2 yards of each fabric sometimes I different types of fabric to make each 2 yard “piece”. So far, with a little planning they turn out great. Thank you for another lovely video!a little planning they
Love this fabric! And great choices for fabrics 2 and 3

The frogs 🐸 are soooo cute. Perfect pattern choice Emily. Personally, I think the little black squares add to the quilt. Keeps it interesting with the different little “parts”. Looking forward to seeing what pattern you’ll choose to quilt it with.

The frog fabric is so cute. I agree, it should have been a solid black fabric for the 4 patches but it turned out so stinking cute.

That’s truly adorable! ❤
Awesome. I cut this pattern out a month ago at a bee. You’ve inspired me to go make it TODAY!
It’s beautiful!
This is so cute
I love it!!!
I love it so cute
Great job! Could you use a layer cake piece in each of the large squares? Just an idea. 👍🏼
I think you could!
I want to share something that I do when I have directional block. Because I have had to repair a couple of well-loved/used quilts that have worn our form being pulled up under the chin at night, I have started rotating each row of directional blocks so that there isn’t a right end up. That way each end of a quilt can receive equal love/wear as it is used. Of course, if you are going to use the quilt only as a wall hanging you wouldn’t want to do that. In this quilt, front would be standing on their heads. 🙃
And I like the little blocks with the hint of the frogs.
AND, I loved it when you said the town name Davis! My daughter is an instructor at the university and I suddenly felt closer to her. 😘
Chaos can be fun…
I love this quilt!! The froggy fabric is adorable!! Do you gave frogs to quilt it with!?
Are your borders ever wavy looks like how you do it keeps it from being wavy .
I measured my borders from the middle of the quilt and then cut prior to sewing on so both sides are the same length. That seems to help everything from being too wavy in the end 😊
Do you have enough of the selvage left to tell me who the designer and number of the frog fabric is? That is so adorable.
Can you please show your pillow case with the quilt.
I ran out of frog fabric ☹️ if this one gets a pillowcase, it might just be the stars and the yellow
