Full length Spiderjack video. www.intotrees.com Thanks to Angus McMahon (www.sherbrooketreeservice.com) for camerawork and editing advice. Music is Ikkyo (One Vibration) by Mugenkyo.
That was an awesome climb, looked like a lot of fun and great camera work. I have worked with a climber that moved like that and it is very inspiring. after a while I started to think, "well maybe I can climb like that too". I'll never be that quick, but it definitely bumped me to a new level, night and day for me. So hopefully this video can serve as an inspiration to the many that have never seen such a thing. I loved Joe's little sigh of exhaustion at the end. shows his humanity. THANK YOU!
Oh well now I have to buy the spider jack sheesh. Looks like your line runs so much smoother than a prusic in my hitch climber. Beautiful video, and nice tree!
Your having too much fun .Don't let the fun Police see you they'll through away the key.At 55 I would love to get back into climbing with all the new gizmos out now, Stay safe all. Wish I could join you up in the ozone.
Hi all, thanks for the positive comments. The video is definately not speeded up - if anything, the circuit could have been done a fair bit quicker, although at the cost of smoothness. Hope this answers your question.
@treemonkee1 i would get the lock jack first man, spiderjack is cool but very fast man,and the lock jack is a good stepping stone just to get a feel for it.saves alot of knot work ;)
I know you work for ART Joe, so you make it look good. I just can't get over the lever action. The pull down type devices like the Zigzag feel more natural to me. Spiderjack is definitely smooth though, and flows rope through effortlessly. Cool vid.
I finally figured it out, it is not the type of rope or mechanical verses manual, it is all in the music, yup I got to go get some of that conga music and then I turn into batman..... all kidding aside, you are awesome.
the sound track is great the tree action awesome the only thing missing is a stuffed chimp and a Tarzan yell at the end and a do not try at home I died trying this today and it was only in a shrub lol

Watching you climb so freely using the ART mechanical device makes me want to rethink my own strategy and buy me some of their devices to use myself.
Makes climbing looks very easy

WHATS ON YOUR FEET
How u do all that from one anchor point ?
Does anyone know what make and model of rope he is climbing on?
do you still use spiderjack or did you switch to something else?
I dont get it? What is he doing?
Showing off the sj abilty, and his own too!
Course having a nice large pruned open tree helps.
