Welp i guess it a good thing you have OPTIONS right? smh. Acting like you’re forced to buy shit. If the price is not right for you, ya move on. Hence why even SMD themselves have given other options. Companies that he doesn’t even work with…like if RF is cheaper with more options in your opinion, why are you crying about a different products price? Just buy the cheaper one then 😂. You just scream “BROKE”. Probably can’t aford the RF one either 🥲
Arc Audio has the SRI its literally the best for SQ 8v preouts, individual gains clip lights and 0-180 phase for each input, auto detect turn on, 3 ground noise isolation options an extra Aux rca input with remote volume knob and summing options for oem integration. No other LOC compares
Hopefully you can help me with a couple questions here: I have a 2015 Honda civic with "Premium Audio Sytem" with an OEM amplifier, i bought a 5 channel amplifier and i want to power my 4 speakers (replacement aftermarket ones) + 1 small 8" sub in the trunk but I DO NOT want to cut wires and all that stuff. If i get a 4 channel high level converter can i use it to make a bridge between my speakers and my OEM radio? if that is so, do i have to turn off, disconnect or do something to the OEM amplifier?
My head-units RCA output has failed, considering getting one of these so I can keep the unit and just use the hi levels for signal. don't really fancy buying a new headunit atm. Might even end up with better voltage out the RCA's, would nice to get more than 2V's drop the gain on my amps lol
yes the line out converter are for stock car radios that don’t have rca behind it and good active line out converters is gonna perform wayyy better than a cheap one and give you more options look for audio control lc2i or wavtech best for the price
Thank you, But I already have a dead bounce M6C connected to my Volkswagen Polo RCD 340G infotainment. From the M6C the RCA is connected to a 4 channel acustika AKS-80.4D amp. Can you suggest how I can add the DSP now ?
Hey JP, i have a question about crossovers. i know that the main crossover is on the amplifier but since my head unit also has crossovers, should i also use those with the amplifier or stick with only using the amplifier?
That is a good question! Both hu or amp will do what you tell them to do! If in doubt by having a cheap hu or amp just turn it up slow on the volume. In my experience using the hu for ajusting the frequenties is the most easy way to do it. Hope this helps.
Can someone help me out? I bought 2 12” subs and I had them hooked up and ive been using them for a couple of weeks. They started smelling really burnt one day. I turned them off right away and they still work. Will they last the same amount of time or did I shorten the lifespan on them?
Yeah these guys are a scam. Making people think u need a $150 loc. Nope been doing car audio 30 years. Yeah some are better than others. Check out robot underground he showed some light on the deception
Just trying to get an opinion. Will my Skar RP 1200.1D power two dual two ohm EVL 12's I just upgraded from SDR 12's. Haven't hooked them up yet, but don't want to ruin any equipment.
JP, can I get some help with customer service. I received my two Nightshades 3 days ago. I asked for an exchange from 1ohm to 2ohm, my mistake when ordering, They were in stock per the website. I was told they were not in stock. Then the next day, the in stock number went up on your website. I called back and asked how can the in stock numbers go up, but you keep telling me they are out of stock? I was willing to pay the restocking fees. So they have some in stock. Please help me understand.
Same thing happened to me when I was trying to trade my brand new deaf bonce 12’s for the 15 inch version… they waited till my 30 days was up to say they had the 15’s in stock even tho the website said they had a couple left the whole time smh
I Know There's Many Video's On RUclips About Ported Or Sealed. But We Now Have New Subs And Stuff Etc, It Would Be Cool If U Do A Video On Seal Vs Ported Im Debating On Which I Should Do Haha!
I agree subs aren’t the same as they used to be I wonder how subs now perform in sealed boxes and how much bass and accuracy you can get out of a sealed box
Jp I didn't realize so many people hate on you until my last post on d4s page and wow I have a question on the jp83 has no no signature option on the sale page is this because you are going to sign them since they cost 1500 it just a typo or??? Wavetech for the win! Load resistors comes standard on Wavetech hi low levels. Cheaper and incredibly well built in Germany and a quarter the size of those db high levels.
@@justchillin7274 zero issues with wavetech. I liked audio content but these are better , smaller and have load resistors built in. Audio control sells them separately like jl audio
I am 50/50 on high to low converters. For me my ride is for keeps for some of you they are not. There is no point of buying a converter if a person will trade up of a ride. And the other problem is the sound level of bass will be unmatch with the factory mids and highs. A rookie has to understand that period or lose money or damage the factory audio.
Check out the one kicker makes. 20 to 30 bucks. Small but excellent quality. Steve made a video comparing Loc's
I have the M6C and it sucks.. swapped it out for a LC2i PRO… night and day difference
Wow that SMD Loc is half way to a Rockford DSR1 which gives 100x the capability

Mind the bass roll off of the rears of most vehicles. They're conveniently in the rear but better fuller sound comes from the front.
This is a very good point that most people will miss...
That’s when you should just tap into the wires behind your factory radio. It looks tacky if you tap into the rear trunk speakers anyways.

Are these basically like the AudioControl LC’s

So would a jp63 need a high level rca voltage for best performance. I'm having issues using a 2v preamp output. Please help
Can we use just one rear speaker or has to be both rear speakers!? TA
When using high level converter does it matter if my system only has 8 ohm? Can I tap in to that 8 Ohm through something like this?
My head-units RCA output has failed, considering getting one of these so I can keep the unit and just use the hi levels for signal. don't really fancy buying a new headunit atm. Might even end up with better voltage out the RCA's, would nice to get more than 2V's drop the gain on my amps lol
Can I run a LOC and add a equalizer to help the tuning of the sound from the factory radio?
Why would you do that….? Get a better LOC

Tune it properly and you won't have any issues. Just keep in mind that you won't be getting the full potential of them subs with that amp

When you are only using it for bass then i advice to get a amp with a bassknop. This way you can allways adjust to what you like.
LCi2 Pro...
That’s what I have and it works perfectly compared to the DB M6C!!
