  • You want to paint, but don't know what to paint? Are you not finding inspiring references? Do you wish if you could come out with your own compositions without references? I end up in such situations very often and I try coming out with my own compositions.
This video shows how I proceed to come out with my own compositions - arranging simple elements that I can draw to create an interesting composition. I consider the rule of third, the concepts of focal element and supporting elements, adding of figures to create more life into the work etc.
This could be challenging initially, but after some amount of practices, it should be so easy. This also develops our imagination and creativity.
I am explaining my process in real time in this video. I will be more than happy to answer your questions.
    Materials used:
Cold Pressed watercolour paper, 100% cotton, around 300 GSM
    Camel Artist Watercolors
    Thanks for watching this video!

WATERCOLOUR VIDEOS FOR BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATE LEVELS!!!
I strongly believe that there is a child in each of us, who would love playing with colours.
I am a self taught watercolor artist , teaching watercolour painting to watercolour aspirants. I prefer preparing tutorial videos showing the process of simplification for photographs and painting from imagination so that we end up doing representation the subject in my own way.
As I learnt lot from RUclips, its my target to share my knowledge back on youtube by creating watercolors step by step, to encourage, inspire and guide viewers interested in learning watercolour.

I love paintings like this that don't look like anything to start and then turn into a picture at the end. I can never see it coming. Oh and I happen to like the background noise too. Where I live in America it doesn't sound anything like that.

Thank you so much! So happy to hear that you found it interesting! Yes, there were some background noises - usually I add voice over commentary later at a quiet time. For this video, I spoke while painting and couldn't suppress background noise.

Great video, thanks for making it and sharing. Would love to see how you would take this to a bigger, detailed painting.
It would also be interesting to see more than one color study of the same concept. For example I think some yellows would greatly complement the blues you have(maybe a sunnier yellow sky, or the figues could be in yellow)

Unfortunately, I don't do much of portraits. I enjoy painting Landscapes & streetscapes in watercolors - that is the reason I am focussing on those subjects. Thanks for your feedback! 🙂🙏

Thanks again. Interesting way you use colours. I would love to see a more detailed study of this. I have just received my set of camel paints and really like the way they flow on the page.

I have that thought in my mind. I have tried with different easels for my board and all of them shakes a bit when I draw fast and bold.
