Can relate to you when you told about ABS, used to brake in our old maruti 800 when this technology of ABS wasnt there. Good part MH31 Car. Nice too see a fellow Nagpurkar doing a detailed sensible review. It looks like you are a mechanical engineer. Nowadays, people buy cars looking into the features that most of the times are completely unnecessary and arent utilized at all during the ownership time of the car (sunroof for eg.). Sunroof are western concept where they dont receive ample sunlight and heat. We in India use it to come out of a car which probably will be moving at a higher speed. Making this feature all the more risky in case of accidental braking.

The best review. I am an engineer from Tata Motors. You have touched the perfect points which we think during vehicle design. The reliability is inversely proportional to the electronic gizmos in the vehicle. So one should always prefer a practical vehicle with minimum fancy features.Even sunroof is an useless feature, but vehicle sale drop drastically if we don't provide sunroof. Sunroof reduces roof panel strength. I own Bolero Neo N10 Optional.

Great car, much better than the competition for sure. Got the N8 variant for 11.5 lakhs onroad Mumbai a month ago and can say its one of the best cars around 10 to 12 lakhs. Suspension, engine, space everything is spot on. Love the car so far done 1800 kms in a month.❤

Great Review. I have been driving for 32 + years. Started with the Fiat Premier Padmini, and drove other vehicles as well, Tata Sierra, Mahundra MM540. All of them were my dads vehicles. I bought my first car 17 years ago and still continue to use it everyday as it is the only one I have - Maruti Esteem VXi, 2007 model. I am now deciding to buy a new vehicle and have test driven the Bolero Neo N10. Reallly liked it , except for a couple of things, which you have mentioned as well. The biggest concern that has come up in the last couple of months is with regards to the NCAP Safety rating - this vehicle has a 1 rating, unsafe for adult and child. I have delayed my decision due to this and am unsure if I should go ahead or not. Would like to hear your views and opinion.

Both vehicles are great. It depends upon purpose and your need. Bolero neo will give you more road presence, suv style drive, rear wheel drive and so on. Whereas w8 is more car like. So it depends on you, both vehicles are great. Neo is more occasional 7 seater. Do share with me which vehicle you bought and why. I have only driven for last 13 yrs, but have driven many kinds of frames( from a Wagon R to Pajero Sport). A ladder on frame is a patented pattern by Mahindra and they have evolved beautifully. Lovely review. I relate to your knowledge . I had a safari vx 3litre top end 2006 model and drove solo from Mumbai to kargil army base via Manali and returned to Mumbai via Kashmir ....on the way I back drove from banhihal in Kashmir to ajmer in Rajasthan 30.5 hrs through heavy rain at Punjab and Haryana throughout the night....the safari was awesome....and after rest at ajmer for 2 days...did non stop Ajmer Mumbai again. Footage on my channel with dashcamera and action camera. On return..I didn't even have to top of coolant in the vehicle. Only wash. I got 16.8kmpl till swarghat in himachal...as it does 100kmph at 1750 rpm as it's a long stroke engine....and then in high altitude 12.8 to 13.4...in a 3 litre engine. I used system D in the tank...every 2000kms...to keep injectors and combustion good. Old is gold. New mg Hector and seltos had broken down. I sold her last week due to ncr norms....and now plan to buy neo(though I booked thar yesterday). Also interiors of neo has been designed by Italian firm pinnifirania which designs Ferrari too.

Enjoyed watching the video, though there were significant periods when audio cut off and only video was seen.. I bought a Bolero Neo N10 Optional 2 months ago. Have completed nearly 3k kilometers. As you said, it is great to drive. I have faced issues with faulty TPMS and also improper working of the seat-belt latch in the middle row, which was solved at time of first service. Thereafter, the DPF sensor conked off at 1.7k kilometers. It was estimated to cost 25k rupees but was replaced free of cost by Mahindra. Presently, there are no other issues and the car drives like a dream.

By far the best and most comprehensive review of any car I have come across.. this is really useful sir.. Would you pl. throw some light on the sales figures.. I was already considering to buy this car and after your review I am all the more keen ! It would be really helpful if you can throw some light on the sales figures.. My only apprehension is that though this is such a capable car and at good price point, why don't we see more of these on roads!?
The sales figures for feb 23 is 9782. Sales figures of Eeco for feb23 is 11352, but practically i dont see that much eeco on road too. Dont know what the reason is, may be the area where we live. This is the most underrated car, but it has all the features which are more practical and used in daily life unlike others who have lot of features but not used in daily life. People buy features not the value… sad reality.. Dont know why we Indians are in search of diamond loosing the true gold. Pls have a discussion with actual owner in your area and get the feedback because their opinion matters than any other data point. I prefer good quality cars over electronics gimmicks, so either nexon or neo. Both are damn good vehicles now the choice is whether you want suvish stance, suvish capability and road presence or car like drive, city driving. So as per your choice select between nexon or neo both are good. No issues with 3 cylinders i drive 145+ over good road, nvh is very low, barley noticeable No issues with dec cars, you will get some discount, vehicle life is counted from registration date. Hi Vaijayji .. thank you for the wonderful review. This car fit to serve all my purposes except my monthly running is 500 km monthly. Now driven by BS6 Diesel engine, one issue I noticed that DPF will get clogged if the car is driven only within city. Getting a free stretch to drive for 20 mins at 60kmph is difficult at this part of Bengal. Will DPF be a big problem in such circumstances? Kindly advise.
500 km is good enough, now a days mine is much less than 500km. DPF will be there in all bs6 diesel engine. If it clogged then regen is there in the car. It will regenerate the DPF. Car is like our human body, it must be always running. I dont know if you have seen my videos on DPF, DEF and REGEN. Pls do have a look, it will clear your doubts. I had a visit to a Mahindra showroom where I've checked the doors of XUV 300 and Bolero Neo back to back and i found the XUV 300's doors at bit heavier than Bolero Neo Doors? Does that mean there is a cost cutting, is Neo less safe than 300? I feel that the company tried to cut cost in Bolero Neo compared to XUV 300 in terms of build quality. Could you explain?
@@ajaykumarkonkati I personally did not notice that hence cant comment. What we know as of now is neo has high strength steel in its structure which is comparatively good than that of tin k dabbas. Xuv300 is damn good vehicle with damn good safety ratings where as neos rating is not known to us. But haven’t seen any videos or news showing its poor quality Yes there is cost cutting with neo but in other terms, don’t know why Mahindra is treating this damn good product as its step product Rest, this is a good vehicle no issues observed so far.

@@vijaydiwakar4173 But I think there is problem in fuel level indicator as when I top-up diesel say by 20 litre level indicator which is at reserve goes to @ 80% level.Upto 50 % there is linear relationship between DTE and indicator but after 50 % level getting suddenly drop.
Warranty will break if they found any external modifications resulting into vehicle failure. Coupler to coupler fitting wont break warranty unless above statement holds true. Thanks for watching the video 🙏

Hello Sir, I like and appreciate your review of Bolero Neo. 🙏 I'm planning to buy a new car, however, I am confused between XL6 and Bolero Neo. Is it good for family? Is 2nd row seating comfortable for family?
I traveled a lot with my friends and family full seats but no one complained abt comfort rather they liked and appreciated the comfort of 2nd row. Its a damn good vehicle for family. Practical reasons for 2nd row are 1. it provides full thigh support where as others lack of 3-4 finger gap which matters on long trip. 2. Reclining angle is perfect so total comfort 3. No shoulder touching, you can have 4 skinny ppls seating comfortably or ample space for 3 ppls, its really very wide seat. 4. It comes with hand rest in upper variant so it has the most comfort that any good vehicle can provide at this price range About comparison, xl6 is gismo rich mainly for city driving where as neo is rough and tough for any road, no road also. As you have seen the video, you must have noticed some practical things which this vehicle comes up with, no silly or useless things in this vehicle. Also it comes up with first in class things which no other vehicle provide at this price point. Go for n10r ltd edition. Lastly, build quality matters, you have at least 6-7 lives travelling with you so it really matters. The best ever review of any car I have seen till now. I have booked bolero neo n4. I have experience of 17 years of driving 4 wheelers. Can relate to you when you told about ABS, used to brake in our old maruti 800 when this technology of ABS wasnt there. Good part MH31 Car. Nice too see a fellow Nagpurkar doing a detailed sensible review. It looks like you are a mechanical engineer.
Nowadays, people buy cars looking into the features that most of the times are completely unnecessary and arent utilized at all during the ownership time of the car (sunroof for eg.). Sunroof are western concept where they dont receive ample sunlight and heat. We in India use it to come out of a car which probably will be moving at a higher speed. Making this feature all the more risky in case of accidental braking.

The best review. I am an engineer from Tata Motors. You have touched the perfect points which we think during vehicle design. The reliability is inversely proportional to the electronic gizmos in the vehicle. So one should always prefer a practical vehicle with minimum fancy features.Even sunroof is an useless feature, but vehicle sale drop drastically if we don't provide sunroof. Sunroof reduces roof panel strength. I own Bolero Neo N10 Optional.

Great car, much better than the competition for sure. Got the N8 variant for 11.5 lakhs onroad Mumbai a month ago and can say its one of the best cars around 10 to 12 lakhs. Suspension, engine, space everything is spot on. Love the car so far done 1800 kms in a month.❤

Great Review. I have been driving for 32 + years. Started with the Fiat Premier Padmini, and drove other vehicles as well, Tata Sierra, Mahundra MM540. All of them were my dads vehicles. I bought my first car 17 years ago and still continue to use it everyday as it is the only one I have - Maruti Esteem VXi, 2007 model.
I am now deciding to buy a new vehicle and have test driven the Bolero Neo N10. Reallly liked it , except for a couple of things, which you have mentioned as well. The biggest concern that has come up in the last couple of months is with regards to the NCAP Safety rating - this vehicle has a 1 rating, unsafe for adult and child. I have delayed my decision due to this and am unsure if I should go ahead or not. Would like to hear your views and opinion.

Both vehicles are great. It depends upon purpose and your need. Bolero neo will give you more road presence, suv style drive, rear wheel drive and so on. Whereas w8 is more car like. So it depends on you, both vehicles are great. Neo is more occasional 7 seater. Do share with me which vehicle you bought and why.

I have only driven for last 13 yrs, but have driven many kinds of frames( from a Wagon R to Pajero Sport). A ladder on frame is a patented pattern by Mahindra and they have evolved beautifully. I had a safari vx 3litre top end 2006 model and drove solo from Mumbai to kargil army base via Manali and returned to Mumbai via Kashmir ....on the way I back drove from banhihal in Kashmir to ajmer in Rajasthan 30.5 hrs through heavy rain at Punjab and Haryana throughout the night....the safari was awesome....and after rest at ajmer for 2 days...did non stop Ajmer Mumbai again.

On return..I didn't even have to top of coolant in the vehicle. Only wash.
I got 16.8kmpl till swarghat in himachal...as it does 100kmph at 1750 rpm as it's a long stroke engine....and then in high altitude 12.8 to 13.4...in a 3 litre engine. I used system D in the tank...every 2000kms...to keep injectors and combustion good.
Old is gold. New mg Hector and seltos had broken down. I sold her last week due to ncr norms....and now plan to buy neo(though I booked thar yesterday).
Also interiors of neo has been designed by Italian firm pinnifirania which designs Ferrari too.

Enjoyed watching the video, though there were significant periods when audio cut off and only video was seen..
I bought a Bolero Neo N10 Optional 2 months ago. Have completed nearly 3k kilometers. As you said, it is great to drive. I have faced issues with faulty TPMS and also improper working of the seat-belt latch in the middle row, which was solved at time of first service. Thereafter, the DPF sensor conked off at 1.7k kilometers. It was estimated to cost 25k rupees but was replaced free of cost by Mahindra. Presently, there are no other issues and the car drives like a dream.

By far the best and most comprehensive review of any car I have come across.. this is really useful sir.. Would you pl. throw some light on the sales figures.. I was already considering to buy this car and after your review I am all the more keen ! It would be really helpful if you can throw some light on the sales figures.. My only apprehension is that though this is such a capable car and at good price point, why don't we see more of these on roads!?
The sales figures for feb 23 is 9782.
Sales figures of Eeco for feb23 is 11352, but practically i dont see that much eeco on road too. Dont know what the reason is, may be the area where we live.
This is the most underrated car, but it has all the features which are more practical and used in daily life unlike others who have lot of features but not used in daily life.
People buy features not the value… sad reality..
Dont know why we Indians are in search of diamond loosing the true gold.
Pls have a discussion with actual owner in your area and get the feedback because their opinion matters than any other data point.

I use excelite h4 55 watt's led, it changed the visibility level 200 percent also those ked are not uncomfortable in high beam HIGHWAY Almost all three lanes are covered

sir i am confused between grand vitara , Nexon , and Bolero n 10 . Is 3 cylinder engine good enough for long period ? also suggest should we buy car in December ? thanks
I prefer good quality cars over electronics gimmicks, so either nexon or neo. Both are damn good vehicles now the choice is whether you want suvish stance, suvish capability and road presence or car like drive, city driving. So as per your choice select between nexon or neo both are good.
No issues with 3 cylinders i drive 145+ over good road, nvh is very low, barley noticeable
No issues with dec cars, you will get some discount, vehicle life is counted from registration date. So book now get vehicle in jan. Check with sales person first for this

This car fit to serve all my purposes except my monthly running is 500 km monthly. Now driven by BS6 Diesel engine, one issue I noticed that DPF will get clogged if the car is driven only within city.
Getting a free stretch to drive for 20 mins at 60kmph is difficult at this part of Bengal. Will DPF be a big problem in such circumstances? Kindly advise.
500 km is good enough, now a days mine is much less than 500km. DPF will be there in all bs6 diesel engine. If it clogged then regen is there in the car. It will regenerate the DPF. Car is like our human body, it must be always running.
I dont know if you have seen my videos on DPF, DEF and REGEN. Pls do have a look, it will clear your doubts.

I had a visit to a Mahindra showroom where I've checked the doors of XUV 300 and Bolero Neo back to back and i found the XUV 300's doors at bit heavier than Bolero Neo Doors? Does that mean there is a cost cutting, is Neo less safe than 300? I feel that the company tried to cut cost in Bolero Neo compared to XUV 300 in terms of build quality. Could you explain?

Xuv300 is damn good vehicle with damn good safety ratings where as neos rating is not known to us. But haven’t seen any videos or news showing its poor quality
Yes there is cost cutting with neo but in other terms, don’t know why Mahindra is treating this damn good product as its step product
Rest, this is a good vehicle no issues observed so far.
Any issue that ur facing with dpf? Is it good for mostly city driving and occasional long drive.....

Technically yes, you can do it. But do it only when you have “the” Machanik else you will loose the seat and seatbelt may not work optimally. I advice not to do it. Thanks for watching 🙏

How is AC performance? Does it cover the 3rd row?
Ac is powerful, looking at cabin size it need some time but cools off. Even 2 position of AC is sufficient for cooling.

Warranty will break if they found any external modifications resulting into vehicle failure. Coupler to coupler fitting wont break warranty unless above statement holds true.

@@zeeshanshaik2098 i guess its 35psi, its given on driver side door pillar. If nitrogen pressure drops then we should refill it with nitrogen only. Do have regular check up if tpms shows drop in pressure else generally once a month

Not allowed, abs means to sense impact and inflate the air bags exactly when required, guard will hamper the sensation

Although once the car comes things will change but still I don't see myself driving more than 10000 kms per year. So people advise me to not go for a diesel car. What is your opinion on that? And if you were in a similar situation, which petrol car would you go for. Also, I don't like gimmick features such as sunroof. I want a safe, fun to drive & easy to maintain for long-term vehicle. Hello Sir, I like and appreciate your review of Bolero Neo. 🙏 I'm planning to buy a new car, however, I am confused between XL6 and Bolero Neo. Is it good for family? Is 2nd row seating comfortable for family?
I traveled a lot with my friends and family full seats but no one complained abt comfort rather they liked and appreciated the comfort of 2nd row. Its a damn good vehicle for family. Practical reasons for 2nd row are 1. it provides full thigh support where as others lack of 3-4 finger gap which matters on long trip. 2. Reclining angle is perfect so total comfort 3. No shoulder touching, you can have 4 skinny ppls seating comfortably or ample space for 3 ppls, its really very wide seat. 4. It comes with hand rest in upper variant so it has the most comfort that any good vehicle can provide at this price range
About comparison, xl6 is gismo rich mainly for city driving where as neo is rough and tough for any road, no road also. As you have seen the video, you must have noticed some practical things which this vehicle comes up with, no silly or useless things in this vehicle. Also it comes up with first in class things which no other vehicle provide at this price point. Go for n10r ltd edition.
Lastly, build quality matters, you have at least 6-7 lives travelling with you so it really matters.
