Love the channel, glad I found you. As for "remembering" the jump button 4-5 frames before you land, and allowing you to still jump a few frames after walking off a platform, how do you do that? I haven't happened to see a guide specifically covering these things and I think it is a great idea for a video! What helped me find your channel was recreating the bash mechanic from Ori... didn't see any other video doing that. This might be another opportunity to get people to stumble across your channel with unique content.
It may be worth searching for the term "coyote time", I think that's the concensus on what to call that generous jump-after-passing-the-edge feature. It's named after how the coyote in the roadrunner cartoons would hover after going over a cliff.
Hi! This was exactly what I was looking for, thank you for creating this video! Would it be possible to do a list of the games you showed as exemples? I know some of them but I am very curious about the others!
(I know Badlands, Ori, Gris, Inmost, Inside, Toby, GoNNER, Trine 2, Mario, Hollow Knights, Mark of the ninja, Rayman, Creaks, Unravel, The secrets of Celeste, Forgotton Ann, Pinstripe, Meat boy, Spiritfarer, Cuphead, Dead cells but some I missed)
Please make a follow up video with source code comparisons. Maybe review source code from "jumping" tutorials.

Mighty Bomb Jack, was an old Nintendo game from the 80s. The character floated when he jumped. But it worked well for that game.
That helped alot! You seem very underrated for no reason
Wow! This is so enlightening! Your channel is definitely underrated( Please, make a video with the code, it will be really helpful!
