It was a good race- And HRC was awesome! He can flat out run!
I agree. He doesn't go down without a fight!
Congradulations to all you handicappers had EQ. At 6/5..odds. formfal.
HRC Reminded me of Chrasmatic at Belmont.
The top two horses did horse racing well today. I had Hot Rod but I can congratulate you guys that had the winner.
I love this sport.
Thanks. Hot Rod ran a heck of a race. I love it too!
You’re right about Luis. Damn good jockey.
He sure it! I am a big fan!
Thanks for the recap. It was a very good race and formal is the perfect way to describe the outcome. However, I couldn’t bring myself to take the short prices, so I tried to eek out some better payouts by building a few exotics that went a little “against the grain”. Needless to say, it didn’t work out for me but I sure was pounding on the table and cheering on that Hot Rod Charlie! The excitement of watching and structure of the race was worth 3% of the old bankroll. 🐎
That's ok. That kind of contrarian thinking and betting will enable you to win over the long term. And I think the 3% of the bankroll. I don't go much more than that on anyone race. I am in it for the long haul and if something wonky happens in one race my bankroll is still intact and live to fight another race.
I been in this game for 17 years and still learn something new at track every time . i hit 10 cent super 740.00 couple weeks ago can,t that on the slots . good information as well bro
I love the fact we keep learning about the game and about ourselves from handicapping and betting. Congrats on that nice super hit for $740! I appreciate the feedback D Nice!
@@Weekendhandicapper Any time bro keep the good work up
I do watch your video’s. I am a pretend better , retired RN, live on s/s, love horses & horse racing. With that being said I am a happy 79 yr old, be kind please. I won winner:place:show & $2 exacta & show & $1 superfecta total $77.20 ... but lost $42 on other bets...so I did not go in the hole... BUT I got it right.
I had such fun & did not lose real $$ .
I did better in Preakness but it was a wash for K/Derby.
Thanks for sharing your racing knowledge .
The main thing is to be happy and to have fun!!! I am glad you got it right and enjoyed yourself. T really appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos and to comment. All the best in your retirement and enjoying horse racing. All the best to you Lala and keep picking those winners!
I like that! The best puzzle on earth! It is a great challenge! That's why I don't have any hair left!! Lol..Nice Job Bro!
Haha you and me both. Sacrificed many a hair follicle due to the stress of figuring out the Racing Form! Same to you! You said this was EQ race and you were right.....again. 😀
It looks like you are having fun! Passion..
That's what I like about horse racing
Same here John!
When I bet I go with what I call OVERRIDING factors: 1. Early on the trainer said "This is our Belmont horse." 2. The jockey jumped off the Preakness WINNER to ride Hot Rod Charley.
Great points Kurt. Flavien made a good decision. He is riding well these days!
Lesson learned: my street address gave me the right numbers for the superfecta, but in the wrong order. A good time was had by all...
Haha! Yes it was a good time! The Belmont card is always a fun day of racing.
Agreed we need a clean-up and standardization of the sport. As I said before, we need a Kenesaw Mountain Landis for racing. Wonder if any retired judges with a reputation for toughness would volunteer for the job. “Commissioner of Thoroughbred Racing”. Has a nice ring to it.
I agree!!!!
Same exacta as the BC Juvenile.
Yes good point. You are right.
Hit 10$ exacta in the THE HILL 'N' DALE METROPOLITAN betting against the 4/5 favorite! Had a great day, hit 6 of 8 races but this is the only one that made any real money. Love your channel and I have a chrome dome too!
Great to hear Patrick! Sound like you had a good day of betting! Congrats! I appreciate the kind words and feedback. Welcome to the bald brotherhood!
Thanks bro your exact paid off for me!
Glad to hear it Robert! Hopefully better paying exactas are in the near future! Maybe even tomorrow. Haha!
I didn't do well. I wanted hot rod Charlie to win. Gave me a good run so I'm happy. Known agenda surprise me Running 4th
Yes I would be proud of HRC if I bet on that horse. They were much the best.
Hit the tri but no payoff
I actually hit the exacta trifecta and super but the odds sucked ,low payout
You got that right! Hard to make much money when logical horses finish like that. EQ and HRC were much the best.
Same here!!!
I'll say it again, your enthusiasm is terrific. Glad I subbed this year, you've taught me a lot. I hit the 50 cent super. Too bad the payouts were low but I really enjoyed the race.
Thank you so much Petro! Yes the payouts weren't the best but I enjoyed the race too. Hopefully better payouts in the future!
What a fun day of racing. As a fan is was such a good day. Many great races and good horses matching up. Loved the Woody Stephens, The Like a Game, the Met Mile, and the Manhattan. As a bettor I didn't bet too much and didn't bet too often. Reason: fields were a bit smaller than I liked even though the competition in the races was great and I thought the quality of horses overall was good throughout the day, but I thought a lot of the races were going to have lower payouts. If you look up and down the card I think that was true. But its ok there are gonna be days like that. My best pick was I hit with Altirthaq for a win bet and hit the Charlie Applebee exacta in that race. Also, hit the exacta in the Met Mile. As much as I liked Knicks Go I changed my bet at the last minute listening to the telecast. I was strong on By My Standards as second and then switched to Silver State. The Belmont was an awesome race. Big fan of EQ glad he won. But I was most impressed with HRC. So tough to fight like that especially with those fast fractions in the beginning for a mile and a half race won. Can't wait to see them 2 hook up again. My Belmont pick was a big FLOP. Trying to be the smartest guy in the room. LOL. I think the odds made me make a dumb. My favorite race of the day was Woody Stephens. Really wanted to see those 4 speed horses hook up and Drain the Clock ran Great. Hope everyone did well and had a fun day. Also, thanks for this channel its great.
Great recap of Belmont Day Tom!!!! I am glad you had some winning wagers. I hope you enjoyed it. I appreciate you watching and commenting on the channel.
@@Weekendhandicapper Thank you. Yes I did a couple but as a fan I really though the day was very entertaining
Good withdraw day , not much on #11 , a little. But caught race 12 and 13 though.” Just goes to show “ (?) hats off to HRC . WOW
No doubt! HRC is a tough horse and a competitor!
6/5 cappers. Happy. Thats right. Take home
Had the super for a $1, but wanted HRC to win. And I told my friends that EQ wasn't going to win the Derby, even with the trip he had, Mandolin HRC had the whole stretch to go by Medina Spirit and couldn't. And the ointment they put on Medina Spirit had nothing to do with winning that race.
Yes Medina Spirit wasn't going to let anyone pass him. That horse was tough on that day. I am glad you hit the super!
Best thing was I got my Derby 15 win bet back today
Great to hear! Too bad Essential Quality was 6/5 I was hoping for around 9/5.
EQ had another gear coming down the stretch!
You’re right, I rather make some dough at a 15K claimer lol
Lolol. I don't care if it is a Stakes race or not. My favorite races are the ones where you can win some good money!
Untouchable chalk betters. Happy..😂😂😂😂😂😂🤔
Right about that...I’ve been picking good but I just NEEEEED that big payout 😔.....but I have been hitting decent Tris all last month. June is looking good too 😎
Yea you have been picking them good! Construct those tickets in a way that if you hit you will get a good payout. They will happen. Especially if you play Saratoga this summer.
@@Weekendhandicapper definitely playing that track and watching when I can. I just hope this new job that imma be working at is gonna have internet. That last place out past Big Spring was 🗑. It was painful not watching the races during the day lol
Chewing Gum paid 26 across, I made money on seconds and beaten favorites all weekend, don't tell me WPS doesn't pay.
won $22 on a tri and 3 super tickets
Nice! Hopefully next year you will do the sane and it will pay more.
Chalk chalk😧😧😧😧😧😧
Sure was. :-(
same here. hit the tri and sup for peanuts. at least i can say ive hit a super in my life. keep the videos and the digressing coming :)
Congrats on hitting that super! Hopefully better paying ones in the future for you. You have to start somewhere. But I digress. Haha. Thanks Ric.
Lookout...big money coming through 🤣 that was a good head to head stretch race! If KA would have hit 3rd I think it would have been at least a $25-30 .50 cent tri. Would have definitely helped the payouts and I would have hit the bigger Tri and Super lol fmllll.....HRC tho 😎 he’s gonna keep stepping up each race.
Yes you are right. Get Rombauer out of the top 3 and it would have paid more. HRC is tough!
@@Weekendhandicapper I’m just glad someone is gonna actually challenge him going foward. I wanna see Mandaloun against them two again in a field similar to the Belmont. Well get a good price on him again.
Im fan 20 horse fields in derby. Had i ll have another who eom from 19 th hole. Ran wide . Closed still won
Have horse. No excuses . Horrible belmont. Bad apples. Slow 1:12 . 1 six furlongs. Syndicate sandy race. Had 13 th race 2-7. . 25 times. Got sandy
Not good. Unfortunately my lack of knowledge had me looking for a long shot in the 4 or 3 spot. Then Drain the Clock was my only loser in 3 pick 3s a pick 4 and a pick 5. Followed by Casa Creed my only loser in 2 pic 3s and a pick 4. Ouch! How did I not bet Money Mike in the 8th. Cost me there two more pic 3s, a pick 4 and a pick 5.
That is how it goes sometimes. You will cash them in the future!
We really had a chance in race 13 on the 10 and holy cow 28 to one ......didn't win but you won me over with that pick!
I thought so too Joe. At the top of the stretch the 10 had a great trip and fought hard for that dead heat just came up a little short. We will get them next time!
Hey Weekend, do me a favor and use the right pronoun when you're talking about horses. It's 'he' and 'she', not 'it'. Even with geldings, you give them the courtesy of a 'he', a 'his', or a 'him'. Describing horses as an 'it' distances you from them, making your handicapping less precise and more subject to error. Like your commentary. Keep up the good work!
Sounds good! That is a bad habit of mine I know. I need to be more aware of it.I I don't even realize I am doing it. I will do that from now on. If I slip up call me out on Pierre. All the best!
@@Weekendhandicapper You're going to be surprised at the impact on your handicapping. It reinforces the idea that they're living creatures, not just numbers on a chart. They've got personalities and attitudes and snotty little ways that you need to be aware of if you're going to bet on them. Case in point: Victor Invictus, a horse that wins on occasion, but would rather not be there. He's probably more typical than not. ruclips.net/video/5yoZAbe9B7g/видео.html
Race to slow. Wtf. Syndicate
Without baffert. Races slow. Joke. B - class . Horrible.
