The rod does work better on the bigger fish this time of year, I really liked it by the end of the session. It does a great job handling smaller, exposed hook baits. Hope you've been finding time to get on some fish Nate!
HEY thanks for stopping by. It sounds like you guys share similar conditions to ours. The cloudy/rainy weather as of late has slowed things down and the fish have retreated back to the deeps and transition points. I need to pick up some red cranks that imitate the color of our reddish/orange crayfish I think that will be important bait for me to learn this spring.
@@firepvp4968 Yeah I hear that and it sounds like a prespawn behavior. They are trying to clear out bedding areas with their mouth, and are more aggressive. The fish are also less spooky. The fishing should only get better as the days move forward.
@@ReelingRaman they got spooked easily and would take along time to comeback but when I threw a Crayfish they went crazy I threw every fricken soft plastic and they just slowly smam away but then it rained and I saw no Bass so I'm confused
Nice work. Looks like the new rod is holding up well
