When you say the current exchange rate is about 7:1, that is just what CCP wants it to be and they have the power to enforce it because of their exchange control laws or regulations. The real, or actual, exchange rate should be based on M2 divided by GDP. By this REAL calculation, the real RMB vs USD exchange rate is in fact 25:1. Try use this to recalculate the USD based GDP in China, and you will find it to be about negative 8 percent, -8%, this year. Certainly the CCP cannot allow this truth to be reported.
