This just shows you how much people WANT to be themselves, but need validation first. As soon as another person joins in, it's now socially acceptable.
@Zac Ariah It's entirely true. People are, in general, much too worried about their own image to do what they want. Once it's suddenly acceptable the herds show up.

Indeed. There is nothing more important right now than to get all bundled up together and wave our arms around in reckless jubilation. COVID-19 approves.
I did the same in france two years ago. There was an amazing queen cover band and it was such a pain to see how everybody was just sitting down and doing nothing but watch. At one point I couldn't hold myself back anymore, just jumped into the big empty space in front of the stage and just started dancing. More and more people joined me and when I had a little chat with the band members after the concert we even thanked each other. That was beautiful.

This fucking legend of a video is a good metaphor for life. Always be who you are through and through and never be afraid to show others your true self, those who resonate will gravitate to you and you to them. Love yourself, love others, and love life❤️
The real prize goes to the cameraman for catching this golden moment. This is one of those things no one would believe if you didn’t record it. 😂
Very very true! It was amazing!
True 😂😂
Definitely one of those things that if someone had it written up and posted it on the internet, there would be that one guy that would comment "r/thathappened"
I didn't think about that at first, but your right. I miss this type of activity. It beats the crap out of what's going on now. The Covid, people killing each other. We need to go back to the lighter and nicer times. Thank you for bringing this to light.

That’s awesome
Why wasn't EVERYONE dancing already?
@@dakinichick I am sure they were. But they decided to dance by thus guy. This video shows maybe 5 or 6 people not dancing. I was there, everyone was dancing already. Also, if memory serves correct (it's been a long time) this was like the afternoon of the 2nd day. People were still tired from the night before. The day shows aren't usually a raging dance party.

That will forever be this dudes highlight! We all need a moment like this 🤪🤣🤣🤣
Within seconds it became weird and uncool to dance alone to all of a sudden weird and uncool to NOT dance. And all it takes is a few daring people.
@McFlickers the 3rd guy too!
and in the end it was cool again to stay on the grass when everyone else had joined the dance. great example of social behavior.
My professor showed this in a business class to talk about the power of conformity. Perfect example.
No just one confident man
By 1:20 it is no longer cool, it's just people copying a trend.
Plot twist: This guy is a weird introvert, when people joined in, he was the first to quit and sit down.

This is how I live life every day! When we were kids, we just met other kids and had fun. No objectives, just having fun. And that's how I still interact. Now some women I have dated hated it, cause I would make friends every place I went. But I think we have to stop hindering that inner happiness 😊
Still one of the most iconic videos of all time. I hope this man is still reveling in his rave ability.
Dance... and they will come.
'The second guy' is the most brave. Imagine we did 'the second guy' thing for a good act, for real...
That's exactly my thought. I think the second guy brought in the wave. It was kind of like approval. 🤣🤣
Yep, a leader,
And another who sees it and leads.
Absolutly. He was the real starter of the JOINING of the peoples. The first guy must have had the best day of his life. Started off with no friends and no one to dance with but he said i dont give a fu**. He went home, after the extacy wore off and told his co workers that he danced alone but ended up with hundreds of people dancing the same dance he made up. His co workers would think he was exaggerating lol. Love this video!! May this be a sign of things to come. This just shows you how much people WANT to be themselves, but need validation first. As soon as another person joins in, it's now socially acceptable.
Its rather sad isn't it ?
@Zac Ariah It's entirely true. People are, in general, much too worried about their own image to do what they want. Once it's suddenly acceptable the herds show up.
I call it 'mass-effect' the more people do it, the more likely others will join.
It works in a debate. When you're the only one standing up for an idea, alone, you're likely to just leave for the other side
