  • Which do you prefer when it gets cold outside? Comment below.
    Toe warmers I used:

A NOTE: About the toe warmers, it says on the package that the ingredients can be thrown away with regular trash and will NOT harm the environment....accept the plastic packaging I assume...
    Heated Socks I used:

Couple of things to consider: If you ride in the cold, but it is raining, the toe warmers will get soaked and will not work. If you also have to work hard and sweat a lot on the bike, again, the toe warmers will get soaked and will not work. The heated socks fail to provide warmth on the top, which, if you are going downhill, it is where you are loosing most of the heat. I use Shimano MW7 and i'm still trying other options to fix this. I've also tryied aluminum toe caps that go between the sock and the shoe, but i feel i need other insulators to keep the warmth in. Last thing i tried was heated socks + aluminum toe caps + windproof sock, which managed to keep my feet warm for at least 1h.

Use hot hands insole foot warmers on the bottom, & toe warmer on top.

What I do is I put on that heated sock and then I put a plastic bag over heated socks and then put them in my boots. If my feet super warm.

For extremely cold conditions I would consider that...for 0-32 f....the plastic doesn't breathe enough and makes my feet sweat, then they freeze

Just plain socks and a dollar general bag on each foot your feet will never get cold again think about it emergency blanket keeps all heat in plastic bag same thing

My problem is sweat...if I'm riding an acoustic bike my feet will sweat terribly with a plastic bag over them, then they freeze.
