04:20 Jean-Michel Jarre did bring all of ist 60s and 70s gear to his Oxygene 2007 concerts and tour, and while it was a logistical and technical Nightmare... it was more than worth it :). Unfortunately many DM fans celebrate DM more for Dave and his moves than for the DM sound. Unlike on JMJ concerts they just don't care anymore...
There's just no reason to bring all that stuff with them. JMJ can do what he likes. Sound wise there's no difference. DM are a largely synth band but the act isn't about the synths in the same way as JMJ.
