This is fantastic! For those who doesnt know, the original is by a swedish folkpop artist named Nordman... He was popular in the 90s, he was one of my favorites. But I must say this cover is actually better than the original... wow!
Jere Niemi Finland has the most kickass melodic death metal bands. I'm really proud of the swedish bands too though, so I can't say "X has better metal". American, Finnish, Swedish and Polish death metal are my personal favorites. Then of course there are good British death metal bands, or I don't know that many... I really only listen to Napalm death and Carcass who did grindcore and nowadays are somewhere between those genres.
@@jarnopalokari3702 Now when you said it, now I can hear it too. It's pretty similar :D By the way, he can speak basically all Scandinavia languages Faroese, Danish, Islandic, Norwegian and Swedish, and also German and English.

Though, most people commenting on this video seem to be all friendly and mature so that's nice ^^ And the song is awesome, both original and this cover :D
11 years late to the party as well, but I don't think there's really any serious hate towards Swedes in Finland. Yes, one archetype of Finnish humor are the jokes about Swedes but then again, you also have your jokes about us. Some people do have a bit of an attitude, but I think it's mostly because of the fact that we are officially a bilingual country and because of a 5% minority, it's mandatory to learn Swedish. It can be a bit frustrating if, for example, you live somewhere in eastern Finland near the Russian border and probably never in your life actually need the Swedish language. All in all I would say that we generally agree that if there's one friend on the globe we can count on, it's Sweden. Except when we're on the ice hockey rink, then of course it's war with no rules.
@@PwrTorch Pretty much this. Living elsewhere outside the coast or Åland is a bit of a "but, we hear English every day, but Swedish not so much?" That said I wish I would've paid attention during Swedish class because it would have helped out a lot later in life for linguistic studies. And that said, I wish my teachers would have been less jaded about it, too. (I'd also posit that the Estonians are also great friends, and are doing a hell of a lot of work to keep the Gulf peaceful with vehement energy learned from Soviet occupation.)
For years this melody was occasionally stuck in my head and I had no idea where it came from. I never heard it anywhere, so I thought. At some point I even thought I made it up myself. Glad I found it again, pretty sure it was this.
A wonderful cover of a fantastic song by my dear neighbours to the east (and a färöbo) Thanks alot Finland for creating such awesome band as Ensiferum!
