If all a marriage is built on is talking about schlepping the kids around then that isn't a real marriage. It's just existing. Claire and Francis are IMO the most true version of a Companionate Marriage ever shown on TV. Statistically those are the most successful. Don't build a relationship on butterflies in your stomach. Build one on being co-conspirators and you will always have a reason to stay and defend each other.
