Hi everyone, I really enjoyed this video. I?m writing to you from San Polino, a winery in Tuscany. On the video a New Zeaoland (or Australian?) winemaker talked about biodegradable pallet wrap. Could you give me any further information on this? Pallet wrap is such a terrible polluting thing, yet we have not found an alternative. Also: the clean wood product...using high frequenncty waves...? Could anyone give any further information? Thank you so much and kind regards, Katia Nussbaum
The footage of power plants at 11:40 showed water vapour being emitted. It is misleading and counterproductive to try to create the impression that this is CO2.
Farmers have always adapted to climatic influences in practical and creative ways, and will continue to do so. As a viticulturist practicing regenerative methods, I am aware of these changes. However, statements such as "there is no question that mother nature is proclaiming her distaste for human exploitation" are emotive and ideological, and not of any practical value. The attribution of the changing climate to human activity is far from certain. There is an exploitative aspect to activists latching onto viticulture as a lever for promoting certain points of view.
I’ve been a viticulturist for 28 years and I disagree with much of what is said here. I don’t buy into the hysteria and feelings portrayed. Lots of talk about feelings and “I think”. Group think equals low resolution outcomes. When you can’t challenge the idea, it’s a religion and cult. Every true farmer is well aware of the climate and the environment. Profitability equals sustainability. Never underestimate the ability of the wine industry marketing to bullshit its way to the customer.
Well said. For some reason the wine industry is a coat hook for pseudo-science and buzz word activism. The fervent claims of ecological purity didn't prevent the same people from forcing staff to participate in a dangerous gene therapy experiment. In fact, those most closely linked to global entities were the most tyrannical enforcers of the anti-human abuse.
