This is an excellent video for beginners (And maybe not so beginning but maybe needing to start over the 'right' way)...The not lowering standard portion is so true. I learned this the hard way when I did permanent cosmetics for Groupon for a while in the beginning while starting out. The cheapest customers are generally the worse in expecting the world from you for almost nothing. You also send out a (subliminal) signal to the world when you charge cheap - what you're worth basically. So, you get people that reflect that status. I think the best way is to practice (On fake skin) and then find people (without charging them) to do as models after technique is confident with practice. It's different on fake skin, but it's what I was missing with securing my technique. And then build up a nice portfolio so that you can charge appropriate pricing...My main issue now is finding models in my area as I need to build up my portfolio some as I took bad pictures in the past and need to start over...Any advice or strategies on how to find models aside from Instagram and Facebook (I've tried both).
OMG!!! This is my story 100%!!! It gave me goose bumps! Marisol, I definitely need to get connected to you. It’s been 6 plus months of doubt, tears, stress, questioning if this is going to work for me...and seeing this video gave me hope for the first time in these past 6 months! I don’t do brows, but rather Scalp MicroPigmentation. It been tough, but this is truly my dream and I want so badly to make it come true! Help!!! 💕
KaeKaeNYC Hi!! I’m so glad the video helped. Don’t worry, scalp micropigmentation is a rather new service for audiences so it might take a while to get off the ground at first. I’m launching a new round of my group coaching this Monday in case you want to join. We learn all the ways to get clients and promote your business through digital marketing and traditional advertising ways. You can write me at marisol@microbladinghub.com or DM me through Instagram at instagram.com/microbladinghub
Hello! First of all thank you for all your videos (I discovered you on your page and from there I went to the channel.) I searched desperately in Google for tips on microblading and found the following title "11 Tips and Tricks for New Microbladers from a Former Newbie" and change My perspective, now I feel motivated and I am in the process of documenting my process in the world of micropigmentation, by the way, I love the video, it is difficult to find realistic testimonies, this makes me feel calm. Regards!!
I watched these videos before I started my microblading course I found them very interesting and now I’m here again as I approach the end of my course 2021. I have a whole new perspective and they are so helpful and inspiring.
I soooo needed to hear this interview. I am definitely in the slow and steady camp and you guys just made me realise thats ok! I am definitely going to win the race, but I set the pace! Interesting point about SEO and bloggers. It's got my little brain plotting! Thanks again
Your video is very inspiring! I have been practicing a lot and Im ready but I am scared to leave my job and go on my own. But you have to start somewhere and not be scared. Even if you spend all your investing you need to try! I am just terrible at instagram and fb on content.
Hi Marisol, This was the video I needed to see! Thank you both! Are you still running coaching courses? I went on your site but can't sign up to anything. I'll be doing my Digital Brows course August - October 2022 so I have plenty time before I begin my adventure and am looking for a course in Business too but would love to arrange something with you in the future. Thanks again Amy
Hi Amy! I am, but I’ve rebranded. Please send me an email to marisol@abundancemedia.us and let’s jump on a call. I’d love to help you out in your journey.
I got certified in May and feeling a bit demotivated but this video helped! I already do lash extensions and I’m a nurse so I wanted to add this to it. Apart from my model on training day and I haven’t had any one sense since then 😩
Question - after you take a course and you finish... Such as a three day course... How do you practice and continue to implement what you’ve learned especially without clients? How do you get clients to trust you without any experience or having any before and after photos of your work?
Well, having a first basic course isn't enough to open your salon. It's a long way to go to become a good permanent makeup or microblading artist. I had my basic course and you just can't do good quality eyebrows as there is a lack of experience with clients. So I had to take a bunch of masterclasses and courses to become really good at what I do.
AAAA I need YOU!!! I am not sure if you are still around, it's been a while since this video. If you are still helping, Plse let me know if we can work with you. Thank you!
Can you give me an input? I’m done with all the training and we are ready to open the studio. So we have an option to do at home or I can do it at a commercial place?
Thank you ladies for your journey. I’m from South Texas and graduated from permanent cosmetics 4 days ago. Im researching what i can apply in addition to being a hairdresser. I have subscribed 🥳 Best ofnluck Jessica, and Marisol
I like u and i like what u say, am from lebanon, i like to know more how to start my business am already certified as a phibrows artist ❤️☺️,and am working to live in Canada nshalla. Am afraid to start
I would do your research before you sign the contract, I decided to not go through with it and they would not honor my decision and they are making me pay 5400 for something that I declined and now they’re making me pay for that so be aware
Great info.... I’m taking a Smp and want to do brows with it. I’m goin slow n steady as you said. Would you recommend doing a separate page on Facebook or instagram for the business starting out ... separate from your personal pages? Any info would help !!! Tk u ...Wayne Rogg.... ohsonny15 on instagram

Thank you beauties❤❤👍
I enjoyed this video and I wanted to know how I can connect with you for my business?
Hi Yaya. Thank you for that. You can email me at marisol@abundancemedia.us
Did you build your business alone or with a business partner?
Thank you
Can I join in your community?
I'm about to start my microblading business.
I'm so excited but there's still a doubt
I am going to be taking a class soon. However once I get started I want to wait to get a studio. What do you suggest?
samantha dearth I’m a newbie, and I would say wait to get a studio. They can be expensive to keep up with especially if you have no clients .
