      Hard to say! It’s been busy all around since Spring break, but I’ve not visited on a Friday in about a month.
      I’ll be going this Friday for the fireworks but won’t be arriving until around 7 PM.

    I will be taking my toddlers next Friday. Are the shows pretty packed, do you recommend the reserved seating?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  3 года назад +2

      Reserved seating isn’t necessary. But the shows are pretty packed. If you show up 20-30 minutes early you’ll be fine for getting a seat. But you won’t find a seat if you show up 5 minutes before showtime.
      Also, if you go to shows earlier or later in the day you should see less crowds. From about 12-4 will likely be the busiest show times.
      If you don’t want to wait 30 minutes, or don’t think your toddler will tolerate it (sometimes it’s a challenge! We have a 3 year old) then reserve seating might be a great option for you if you don’t want to miss it.
      Sometimes the extra cost is worth the peace of mind.

    Do you know if the outdoor basketball challenge was open? It's right outside of the arcade area.
    Also, do you know when the rides open?
    Thinking about driving down from the NW in early June to do SeaWorld and Knott's Farm.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  3 года назад +1

      Sorry for the late reply, didn't see this until now! I don't quite remember if the basketball challenge was open, but I think so?
      Knott's hasn't announced a reopening date yet, but they've said after their Boysenberry festival, so after May 2nd some time. SeaWorld has been radio silent on the rides and no new information is known.
      You should know that "legally" the parks are only open to California residents. So if you're coming from Oregon or Washington, you may not be able to get into Knott's. I would call to verify with them. Just because it's in the "rules" from the state, doesn't mean theme parks will follow it necessarily.
      Disneyland definitely will, I'm not sure about Knott's.
      I believe SeaWorld will keep rides closed in order to stay open as a zoo with higher capacities and allowing guests from all states to visit. I'll let you know here on the channel if that changes.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad

      You don’t need to make reservations for shows. There are 4 shows, Dolphins, Sea Lions, and Orcas, plus a new show involving Sesame Street called Rescue Tails.
      The times are listed online. You would just show up to the amphitheater 20-30 minutes prior to the show to get seats.
      They also have the times listed outside the amphitheaters as you’re walking around the park.

    Hi, thanks for this videos!
    It will be our first time going, we are a family of 4! Two kids a 3 year and a 5 year, my big question do you think we can see all the park on one day?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  3 года назад +1

      For sure! With rides currently not operating and the play area being closed still, those are the two biggest time occupiers that would prevent seeing the rest of the park.
      If you want to see all 4 shows, you’d have to be strategic with your time, but I imagine that your little ones won’t sit through 4 shows.
      Mine are 6 and 3, and they tolerate 1 show per trip.
      Between the food festival and the animals, we usually are there for four hours and see 1 show and usually only make it around about half of the park. With a full day, you should be fine.
      If you visit every exhibit (outdoor and indoor) and don’t rush through them, you can still get it all in during a day and see a show or two.
      The food festival takes some time to wait in lines and we’ve found it takes us about 1 1/2 hours to go through 5 lines and eat the items we got. We only ever get 1 item per booth though as we want to try more things.
