My apologies if I missed which mulching kit you're using. I read main comments and searched this page but didn't see any specifics. I've read mixed reviews on the top mulching kits for a ZT1 50, would be great to know what you're using!
I just ordered myself a 25pound bag of Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass from Seed Super Store. Will aerate then overseed my 8,000 square feet yard. I can’t wait
IMO mulching is the way to go. No clean up, no bags to empty. One thing I have personally found is getting wet grass off vinyl house siding beceause you let the mower blow all the grass at it is a PITA.
I have a Toro Timemaster which is great. I have a 19k sq foot lawn. But in the Texas heat it was really hard and took my about 80 minutes, so I got a 50 inch Toro Timecutter ZTR. Now it takes about 45 minutes. For 9k sq foot, you can't beat the Timemaster.
Nice lawn. I notice you still have yellowish hazing near the roadways. I also saw your 15 Jul 2019 video. I am new myself at lawn care, but I am thinking you may have salt build up from previous non-organic fertilizers and street salts (winter time). If it were me, I would put down some gypsum. This is only a guess without a soil test.
Yeah it's a constant problem and we have water restrictions so on the really hot weeks we can't water to alleviate the stress. I believe it's a combo of heat, salt, the slope letting water wash away, and the sprinklers not reaching over the grass (I have 4in rotors and it got to be 7+ inches repeatedly).
You crack me up man! Riding mower to cut the nutsEdge, awesome! Does save a lot of time, if you need to double cut though. Yes, CarbonX will cause your grass to grow, but it does help to water too, if you haven't had much rain. I wouldn't just say CarbonX makes it grow, as you need water to help it... Cmon a riding mower for your lawn, please just use the Swardman that you were given.. The riding mower is too much. Or, at least tell me your cutting the entire neighborhood with that. I'm very happy to see you drinking DD coffee. Best coffee for sure. Peace out!
Discharging clippings into the road is against the lawn in most states If don't clean up, you can cause someone riding a motorcycle to dump their bike.
Cub Cadet specifically says to engage the PTO at full throttle. There are several vids on RUclips with Cub Cadet reps explaining it. The manual for this specific model on pg 14 says: "To engage the PTO: 1. Move the throttle to the FAST position. 2. Pull the PTO switch up/out into the ENGAGED (ON) position. 3. To disengage the PTO, push the PTO switch down/in to the DISENGAGED (OFF) position."
That Cub mower is a beast!
Yeah man it's wicked fun
About time for a GDaddy video😎👊
Your lawn looks the best that I think I have seen it!👍 Good stuff!
It sure does!! Thanks

Good looking grass! That Cub Cadet is no joke!
"just play with it" 😂😂 great video buddy.
Hahaha thanks

I've been thinking about purchasing some from super seed also , but man o man those prices are high as can be.
Sod quality and the cultivars available are why. Your lawn can only look as good as that cultivars will get
I wish my customers lawns looked like that when I show up to mow...bi weekly cuts here, easy 10-12" tall grass and weeds, I cut at to 2.5".
and they probably want to pay less than a weekly =P
“I just want to play with it”....that’s what she said
Don’t you have access to the backyard or does the push mower tackle that area ?
My wife planted rose bushes so I couldn't get to the backyard with it after. I pushmowed the back.

7:20 Kentucky Bluegrass shedding? New concept to me. Care to explain this more in a follow up video?
First Aussie 😁. The Bumblebee is doing its job😁👍🏼👍🏼
how does the cub cadet do going across that hill - do you get any scalping on the low side?
That mower is a unit! 👌
Yes it is!
Tim, what is the best way to get rid of Thisle in my gardens without getting pricked, I need it gone now

What the square footage of your lawn? I have about 9k and not sure if I want to jump up to a rider
I would say probably 7-8k. It's a huge time saver but takes a lot of garage space. I do prefer the cut though so I'm ok using up the space 🙂

Great lawn ... Congrats. That Cub still mulching well? ^v^
Nice work good job!
Thanks
That was nutsedge not grass lol.
Shhh lol I wasn't looking but when I went to edit it I saw 😂
Grass Daddy hahaha
Do you find using the carbon-x you water less
I am using a smart controller that waters less and haven't had issues. But I don't have a side by side to know it was carbon-x for sure.
Can you believe I have the same motor on my Hustler 42” ? it’s seems stupidly overpowered... great motor though!
Good video.
Thanks
What blades are you using?
I use the standard blades on all my equipment.
Ok. Nice.. thanks keep up the good work

What kind of grass you have?
Kentucky Bluegrass
Kentucky Bluegrass
Trim your trees. Be master of your domain Tim! Lol!
I've been thinking of it..
Use high lift blades it will pull the grass up to cut it the first time
“Enjoy the mow” LCN. The cub cadet Ultima zero does that in spades.
HI, GRASS DADDY. HOW ARE YOU? LONG TIME NO SEE UR VIDEO? WHAT'S GOIN ON?
@6:59 - 7:03 .....🤦♂️
....bit of a perfectionist 🤣
I can hear your deck banging around like mine does, im trying to solve the issue but no luck so far......
I hear it on mine too
The reason why your grass is doing well because higher rain falls this year.
My neighbors lawns are looking dry, and I've had irrigation in previous years.
Looks Good!

I can't get the Swardman to work 🙁
I would've bag the clipping.
No way mulching would've been a better solution than bagging in this situation.
I don't have a truck to bring the clippings to the dump, and I don't have space on my property to dump clippings
@2:31 that’s what my wife says.
Nothing wrong with the one half rule...lol
Hahaha
That Cub Cadet is a beast! If I had to mow KBG that tall with my Honda HRR, I would have been out there all day.
Great vid.
Thanks! Yup it's been double cutting every weekend and then no energy to do anything else lol
1/3 RULE
You should be in turning before hitting the street so you don't discharge into the street.
You have a zero turn. Use it
Stripes look better if you go straight into the road.
@@GrassDaddy what stripes? 😂

@@benminor5562 I guess I'll show me blowing it next time, I figure that is boring but it seems people assume I don't if I don't show it

George , good Sunday afternoon. Have a great day 😁
Need to remember to immediately clear the roadway of grass. It's dangerous for cars and even more dangerous for motorcycles.
Don’t engage your blades at full throttle it’s bad for the PTO clutch. Same with disengagement.

That tall those wheels not good on a home lawn. The side of a highway more suitable. No way I’d use that on my lawn.
what a horrible cut
A nice mow you need some. Greener for your yard
