    My apologies if I missed which mulching kit you're using. I read main comments and searched this page but didn't see any specifics. I've read mixed reviews on the top mulching kits for a ZT1 50, would be great to know what you're using!

    I just ordered myself a 25pound bag of Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass from Seed Super Store. Will aerate then overseed my 8,000 square feet yard. I can’t wait

      Sod quality and the cultivars available are why. Your lawn can only look as good as that cultivars will get

    I wish my customers lawns looked like that when I show up to mow...bi weekly cuts here, easy 10-12" tall grass and weeds, I cut at to 2.5".

    Don’t you have access to the backyard or does the push mower tackle that area ?

    • @GrassDaddy

      My wife planted rose bushes so I couldn't get to the backyard with it after. I pushmowed the back.

    IMO mulching is the way to go. No clean up, no bags to empty. One thing I have personally found is getting wet grass off vinyl house siding beceause you let the mower blow all the grass at it is a PITA.

    What the square footage of your lawn? I have about 9k and not sure if I want to jump up to a rider

    • @GrassDaddy
      @GrassDaddy  5 лет назад

      I would say probably 7-8k. It's a huge time saver but takes a lot of garage space. I do prefer the cut though so I'm ok using up the space 🙂

      I have a Toro Timemaster which is great. I have a 19k sq foot lawn. But in the Texas heat it was really hard and took my about 80 minutes, so I got a 50 inch Toro Timecutter ZTR. Now it takes about 45 minutes. For 9k sq foot, you can't beat the Timemaster.

    Nice lawn. I notice you still have yellowish hazing near the roadways. I also saw your 15 Jul 2019 video. I am new myself at lawn care, but I am thinking you may have salt build up from previous non-organic fertilizers and street salts (winter time). If it were me, I would put down some gypsum. This is only a guess without a soil test.

    • @GrassDaddy
      @GrassDaddy  5 лет назад

      Yeah it's a constant problem and we have water restrictions so on the really hot weeks we can't water to alleviate the stress. I believe it's a combo of heat, salt, the slope letting water wash away, and the sprinklers not reaching over the grass (I have 4in rotors and it got to be 7+ inches repeatedly).

    You crack me up man! Riding mower to cut the nutsEdge, awesome! Does save a lot of time, if you need to double cut though. Yes, CarbonX will cause your grass to grow, but it does help to water too, if you haven't had much rain. I wouldn't just say CarbonX makes it grow, as you need water to help it... Cmon a riding mower for your lawn, please just use the Swardman that you were given.. The riding mower is too much. Or, at least tell me your cutting the entire neighborhood with that. I'm very happy to see you drinking DD coffee. Best coffee for sure. Peace out!

      Discharging clippings into the road is against the lawn in most states If don't clean up, you can cause someone riding a motorcycle to dump their bike.

    Don’t engage your blades at full throttle it’s bad for the PTO clutch. Same with disengagement.

    • @TJK0ng
      @TJK0ng 4 года назад +4

      Cub Cadet specifically says to engage the PTO at full throttle. There are several vids on RUclips with Cub Cadet reps explaining it. The manual for this specific model on pg 14 says: "To engage the PTO:
      1. Move the throttle to the FAST position.
      2. Pull the PTO switch up/out into the ENGAGED (ON) position.
      3. To disengage the PTO, push the PTO switch down/in to the DISENGAGED
      (OFF) position."
