It was not a fair comparison as both users should try to set on each car. I used to own a US version of the 2019 Forester and I love it. I have since changed to a 2020 Outback. I did rent a 2019 CX-5 once. I love the power steering which is so tight and precise. Two things I cannot stand on the CX-5. The rotary dial for the infosystem, and the fuel tank is so small. You constant see your fuel gauge indictor drop as you drive, and you will need to visit the gas station more often.
Cars in HK are too expensive and underpowered. These two cars are much cheaper in the US with more power and AWD. You can get an Audi Q5 for less than $50K.
I would take Subaru if I have no reliability concern. I have a Impreza which the transmission failed every year since the first year after factory warranty. Very expensive repair.

澳洲版只有2.5litre 及eboxer版. 在城市日常及上高速都ok. 我有部2.5litre, 2021model. 平均油㲎大约10.5litre. 而且它有個S/I mode. 如要take over 或上斜夠力點, 可選S mode. 平常用I mode 比較省油。而且它的adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, front auto brake, rear auto break, blind spot detection and 其它安全設備拍得住歐洲車有凸。

難得竟然ching咁心水清(XT: 四驅+turbo)，唔似其他人吹噓冇低扭嘅SUV (e.g. rav2, forester, xv, cx30/5/8)，香港揸車點可以冇低扭😂
我都係17 XT Sydney , 五年保用壞咗冷氣拎返去幫我整免費( 佢冇理我有冇返去做保用 查實一次都冇做log book service) 車正,有力,價平.

自己係澳洲揸緊E-BOXER 馬力方面係差少少但已經夠用 安全方面同一個價位已經無咩對手低配已經有哂EYE SIGHT, ACC, BLIND SPOT, Brake assist 同Driver monitoring 加埋低重心同全時4驅同前左右泊車鏡頭真係安心 就算OFF ROAD 行沙灘都無問題. 油耗約7.5- 9L/100KM 左右 HYBRID 系統有D雞肋 幫助唔係好大 無得同TOYOTA 比 最大缺點係EV轉混合動力做得唔夠平順 同BOXER 引擎有先天缺憾無直列或V型咁耐用 士啤胎係香港個人覺得可有可無 另外EBOXER 會有一SET 補胎KIT 有一個打氣機幾實用隨時隨地可以充氣
What is the real life fuel consumption?
Coz my 2020 forester driving in Canberra only have fuel consumption of 7.8L/100.
Around 8 if I drive up to 80% 110km freeway. If mixed with off road will rise to 9 City and high way mixed around 7.6 both with Ac on all the time.
