when Dom died i cried as if he was a member of the family. he was a great player to play and to know. you will be miss Dom.
when i first saw doms death i cried so hard my whole face was wet then i heard this song it made me get dem feels... RIP: dom santiago gears of war 1- gears of war 3. he will be missed and he was a badass ;-;

Dom has one of the saddest background story of all videogames... lost his brother, his parents, his children, watched his wife slowly fall in depress and madness and eventually lost her...
And he sacrificed himself to not loose his last brother.
as some say, if you've found Dom' story sad in the games, just read the books...

Dom's love story is one of the saddest things i ever saw in a series, it's not even entirely portrayed in the games (for obvious reasons) but in the books it's likle 10 times worst

I don't even know this game, but how can you say the lyrics "in my mind's eye my angel's all I see" and not expect tears? Wow... very good song, despite my lack of knowledge.
I highly recommend you play the Gears of War series. Lots of people just think its a classic FPS with big guys. But the story is actually really well developped and interesting

I'm a huge gears fan, (read all the books, collect the comics, got plenty of gears swag) and I liked this. Nice job man. Also, and this is my opinion, Dom's sacrifice I think is one of the best scenes in gaming. Considering how long the story built up to that moment, it was epic.

I've never played Gears of War, or Red Dead Redemption, and when I first heard this, I thought it was about Red Dead Redemption because it has a similar feel to Redemption Blues. Still one of my favorites of your songs.

Usually I don't share emotions in videogames, but Gears was like the longest series I played and I read the comics and one or two books.
and after Dom's death... Both my Gears partner and I dropped one or two tears and paused the game for a longer bit

It's crazy because in Gears 2, I didn't feel much at Maria's death except Dom's simmering rage. But in Gears 3 when Dom died I felt complete agony

im not a fan of the gears games i played #1 & #2 wasnt a fan but i absolutely love all the music you've done for them and it made me wanna go back and replay them but i must say dom was my fav. character from the 2 i have played.

@dadadada556 yeah it happened on eday and some people think Maria went missing after eday but truth be told she left Dom four years after eday cause she couldn't deal with the depression anymore and she became a stranded

Wow, Mr. Dunne, if I had musical talent, you are exactly what I would want to be. This song captures Dom's thoughts, personality, and essence completely. You've done the character and game justice, not these crappy ass metal songs about Gears. Man, all of your songs and lyrics capture the feel of every game they're based off of. Me hats off to you mate.
