I always wonder why double deckers in the UK are always in the 10-11 meter range for length, whilst those in Hong Kong, except for the toughest roads, are 11.3 meters or longer?
That Trident has been at Northampton from new. I suspect the large number of electric buses due over the next year or so will remove them in their entirety.
As nice as 18 series tridents came back into service unfortunately same can’t be said for the running of all routes to and from university of Northampton since Stagecoach took over the reigns from uno bus for the university of Northampton of which are bankrupt and dodgy management in charge of the university of Northampton with the future of the university being about and students courses being very uncertain. Uno ran the routes 4A and 4B as 19 and 19A branded as Violet along with other flower theme branded bus routes such as foxglove 18 and Lilac 21 uno ran the university contract excellent for 12 years with a very friendly reliable service. Most the uno Northampton staff were former Stagecoach drivers who joined uno for better conditions, pay and excellent treatment from management.
Sorry to say but i laughed my head off at 41:44 the guy falling on his butt...great video

There no need for them it’s rare to get them full
Also uk roads are not designed for large vehicles
Some roads cannot take buses that long, especially if they have to turn off a main road that can take their length.
