Navigating bustling markets can be a thrilling part of any trip. Seek out local shops and vendors beyond the main tourist hubs for a more authentic experience. These hidden gems often offer unique items and better prices. Engage with local artisans and learn about their craft, adding a deeper cultural layer to your shopping adventure. Remember to compare prices and practice friendly bartering to ensure a fair exchange.

I either wait for another customer to come in and get the price from them, or i wait until they say the price to the person then drop the I speak spanish bomb on them. Medico doesnt tend do to that since i dont live in tourist spots, same with Poland or polish shops in chicago. Except the Polaks are ALWAYS honest. They are amazing people. & The Eastern Europe stores I go to also has some great peoplez especially the Russians, Bosniaks & Bulgarians! But keep heading southeast, the closer yiu get to Turkey the worse it gets 😂 coincidence? I think not.

never buy anything from the shops such like this one. i.e. if you wanna buy baklava, then go to that city's most famous baklava shop which only sells baklava, not others. if you wanna eat kebab, don't eat it at touristic places. and do not forget that Turkey has 81 big cities (not a lie) and about 1000 districts (even except villages). everywhere has its own culture and goods. dont stick on only istanbul, antalya or kapadokya. also, dont hesisate to bother police depts, they have to do their job officialy, if you have any complain. Turkey is a safe country, if you are not an idiot. otherwise you gonna be free to get scammed. btw, turks are welcoming while other ethnicities are mostly greedy. if you hear any arabic/persian word somewhere in turkey, then it's time for you to go away.
