  • USB power delivery seems interesting to me. In this video I use a PD trigger to test some power supplies with some impressive results.

That's a very useful little board. At a pinch it can even double as a laptop PSU, with 19 Volts at around 3 Amps, and only rising to 20V off-load. Thanks Adam.

thanks for the video, I've been looking for solutions, so far I've got a 45W PD Car Adapter which in theory excellent but according to my tests in short bursts (phone charging, notebook charging etc.) It can't be used all day long..

You can preset the PCB to fix the op to certain voltages. Come in handy

What about a trigger board that remembers its setting?

What model Swiss Army knife is that? Or do you have a video about it?

Great video, would be really handy for charge and play of the nintendo switch in the car. I've seen similar rav power ones on amazon for £6 ish, might have to pick one up.

What could be the max wattage if we connect it with Computer USB 2.0 or 3.0 port?

Hi Adam, I've just came across your video and I've been trying to get a trigger like this to power my 12v - 24v bluetooth amp boards for portable projects and I just can't get it to work it just flashes blue and doesn't strike up the board even when set to higher voltage. I have a high capacity wall plug too. Do you think it will work in my application? Thanks and another great video 👍🏻

It's good to know the adapter boosts. Does the adapter need 12 volts dc to boost or will it do 6 volrs

This will be perfect for charging lithium batteries that are not charging through whatever protection circuit they have on those batteries.

Great video! I love playing with USB-PD and QC3.0 it's so interesting! i used a similar car socket like that for my solar bike to charge my laptop with USB-PD. i would be interested to know if you set the trigger board to 12v or 20v and unplug the USB C connector it remembers the last setting? it could be handy if you were going to use it more permanently in a project! Cheers!
