If you’re evacuating today, please know when we left last night we were able to find gas but absolutely no hotel availability in southern half of GA, we drove to family in Atlanta all through the night because there was no other option, arriving at 5 AM. Roads were not busy in middle of night last night.
I think they should open up the opposite (coming into the area) part of the highway for people to get out, leaving one lane for any emergency or help coming in.
Is Hernando County under a mandatory evacuation? My grandmother lives in Brooksville and she said she will not evacuate and most of jer neighbors are also refusing to leave.
