    How could you know how the so called vedic period house look like? From sanchi stupa relief what shape you see, how do you know that was not made of stone or brick and mortar?

      I strongly suggest you to read these two books to start off with-1) History of Indian Architecture - Buddhist and Hindu period by Percy Brown and 2) The Architecture of India-Buddhist and Hindu Period by Satish Grover for all above mentioned queries and insights.
