If an advice video starts with them loudly boasting how great they are and how much money they make, avoid it and move on. The video is about their ego, not actually helping you.
Good information. It really seems like Upwork is a race to the bottom overall. If I were a client, I would be more inclined to hire a top rated or top rated plus freelancer because they've had plenty of work and your sure to get a good result. Also, I may be wrong, but if you calculate the total earning and divide that by the hours spent for project, many of these "high performers" really don't make that much. They've simply been on Upwork for years and have worked to that level, but they're not going to get rich unless they create an agency where they are working with a group of others. So, I've been told to use Upwork for a handful of jobs, don't expect to get paid much at all and it'll take about 20 proposals to find a simple job. Get your "testimonials" and get out. Am I on track?
unfortunately upwork and fiverr are still the easiest and most trusted way to make money for freelancers. I tried linkedin but not as user friendly and trust worthy like upwork and fiverr.
Can you outline how you use LinkedIn for clients? I just started doing a little freelancing for RUclips growth strategies and having a hard time getting consistent work on upwork
