- On Tuesday May 22 2012 Professor Oliver Sacks was invited by the Nobel Museum in Stockholm to hold a lecture in Börssalen. The lecture was called "Narrative and Medicine: The Case History" and the audience listened attentively as Professor Sacks picked and chose from his long and fascinating career as a neurologist and writer.
I will never tire of Oliver Sacks' speeches or writings. Beautiful and brilliant man.
Very thoughtful of your work Dr Oliver Sacks with very helpful insights. You are missed, " Blessed memory as always. "
Oliver Sacks will be missed. Eloquent, empathic, brilliant and inspiring.
'Greatly missed to this day in 2024.
I have watched this and other videos by this amazingly dedicated man and have been mesmerized. His eloquent style of telling stories and communicating both the science and humanity of these medical case studies are both inspiring and confronting.
An extraordinary man, physician and communicator. His greatness is underlined by a refusal to allow his own medical condition to diminish his utility - he succumbed a few years later.
Succumbed? He lived a longer life than probably both of us will
Very interesting!
The way Doctors use to be, and could be before Big Medicine (Govt Medicine)
I feel your pain.
