    To me this song reflects upon the madness in human consumption as the night mare in the december black psalm. I'm not sure who the "I" is, but is it perhaps innosence? We should not wrap ourselves up in plastic and behave like witless fools around christmas- do not put your innosence aside to eat industrial "produced" animals that live only to feed you... put an end to the nightmare. I am still contemplating the last verse with the "I" as innosence... I leave it to anyone who cares to join me in philosophy to this. It is a wonderful song which has grown with me. I'm sure others hear it differently.
