When you see a nation progress and improve so drastically through Marxist rhetoric, such as this nation's story shows, how can you possibly still blame the fall of the USSR on communism? Just as this nation fell due to imperialism, so did the USSR. Imperialism is not something which can be fought by militaries and nations. Imperialism is something which MUST be fought by every decent citizen within EVERY nation. Whether you compromise the war crimes of your government's military, or you inform the public, or you fight for political power, if you have the ability to fight against imperialism and you do not, you are committing a disservice to your character and to the world which surrounds you.
don't be ashamed of actions of French capitalists and imperialists, it's much more productive to fight them than to be ashamed just because you have been born in the same country
@sebatian you asshole bootlicker, they dont give a shit about the french people, the only reason the french capitalists ever give benefits is so that they can pretend they are doing good, just like the feudal lords under the monarchy claimed to protect the peasants while in reality they were exploiting them. Why do you think the russian revolution happened. The Tsar didnt give a shit about his people and just repressed them leaving them poor and desperate so they turned to the bolsheviks and overthrew them.By doing benefits the western capitalists are pretending to serve the people so that they don't end up like the Tsar
Thomas Sankara was an upright man. He was a patriot for his nation and Africa. Such people are not loved by the corrupt and those who love material goods. Blaise Compaore and his companions were very uncomfortable since they couldn't steal and enjoy under his leadership. God rest his soul in peace, he loved people so much.
@Poop Corporation TM Yes and all individuals should be judged on an individual basis, governments and corporations and entities acting on their behalf are the sketchy ones
This man held the highest position in his country and chose to own almost nothing. That's a man of principle right there. This documentary is trash. "Sections of the population were tired of sankaras methods" do they mean the feudal lords and the stunted bourgeouise who had a financial interest in the continued exploitation of the people? I have a hard time believing that the people would tire of a regime that greatly raised their quality of life.
Justice is the oppression of the privileged classes. The state must be used to oppress them - not with torture and cruelty but with confiscation, seizure of property, justice for their crimes. They will cry their eyes out at the loss of their treasures!

@MoralSingularity Name 5 socialist countries today.
@MoralSingularity I asked you a question, name 5 socialist countries today. And stop attacking a straw man.
MoralSingularity Are you done attacking a straw man? And i first asked you a simple question to name me 5 socialist countries today, which you haven’t answered....
@@TheIrbe He can't. The west has turned all socialist nations into capitalist states, either that or he's not smart enough.
The Ziaur Rahman of Burkina Faso.
Ziaur Rahman is a Bangladeshi freedom fighter, Bir Uttom(2nd Hightest gallantry award given to the freedom fighters). He also ruled the country for a little less than 4 years and did a lot of great stuff. Free market economy, human resource export, industrialization etc. He was also targeted by people who couldn't endure the rise of a nation. He was brutally murdered in my hometown of Chittagong. May Allah bless such leaders, may Allah send us more leaders like them.

Saludosss
Big respect to Thomas Thankara, Patrice Lumumba, Muhammar Gaddafi and my previous President Joseph Magufuli. These men were true Africa nationalistic. I am from Tanzania.
Thomas Sankara is a true legend. An extraordinary man. If the world had more people like him, we would be saved. Unfortunately he is with the angels now. May he rest in peace. Bless him 🙌
When you see a nation progress and improve so drastically through Marxist rhetoric, such as this nation's story shows, how can you possibly still blame the fall of the USSR on communism? Just as this nation fell due to imperialism, so did the USSR. Imperialism is not something which can be fought by militaries and nations. Imperialism is something which MUST be fought by every decent citizen within EVERY nation. Whether you compromise the war crimes of your government's military, or you inform the public, or you fight for political power, if you have the ability to fight against imperialism and you do not, you are committing a disservice to your character and to the world which surrounds you.
The biblical heaven is described as a socialist state yet white christians love capitalism and want to go to heaven
@@exillens Dictatorial communism, really
Patrice Lumumba,Thomas Sankara,John Magufuli.....RIP
as a french i'm truly ashamed of my country for having such a dreadful imperialist policy
don't be ashamed of actions of French capitalists and imperialists, it's much more productive to fight them than to be ashamed just because you have been born in the same country
@@zacnieprawisz9171 France is still a very liberal country unfortunately,we are becoming more and more like a copy of the US
Rest in Power General!!!
God bless Thomas Sankara
Where ever he is,
And his family on earth
dats how a good man ends.......long live his legacy ..regards from nepal
Long live and the the reme.mbrances of Thomas Sankara !!!! Men like you are lights years ahead of time!!!!!
Sankara. What a man!
He is my mentor. They assassinated him but his ideas will live forever. Keep resting great man.
This man is simply remarkable and, worthy of intense study!
What an Icon!May the soul of a true statesman, a living Saint, rest in eternal peace🙏
💯
Probably the best and freeist communist story out there for the few years he ruled, a beautiful man and society killed by a French influenced pawn.
@Poop Corporation TM Yes and all individuals should be judged on an individual basis, governments and corporations and entities acting on their behalf are the sketchy ones
His mind and soul lived in the year 2030 yet his body was stuck in the 80's. What a great leader
When I read of his death...I felt like crying...rest in power comrade😥
This man is a legend
TRUE KINGS DONT DIE THEY MULTIPLY.... RIP THOMAS SANKARA
Saint Thomas voice of the martyrs!!
Up there with one of the greatest leaders the world over, not just in Africa. My inspiration, my CAPTAIN SANKARA. Africa and nor just Burkina Faso is still reeling from losing him so abruptly 😥
May Thomas Sankara forever rest in peace.
History will absorve him and we shall never forget the legacy
"And those the world cannot break, it kills. The good, the gentle and the brave, impartially." - Hemingway
