I used to love playing puck in Dota2. As soon as I started playing pocket all his trickery and tom fuckery felt so natural, but now he has a super useful ult! Love it
the heavy melee and barrage blew my mind, i subbed just now when i saw your haze build guide. I feel like my brain unlocked an extra 5% on these guides
Hey smeefu! You have quickly become the deadlock content creator whose opinion I trust the most. I would love to see you do a tier list or character ranking type of video. If you were to give the name of the build you recommend with each that would be even better! But no matter what you’re doing, I love the content!
I love this build.. in a vacuum. I think that abusing the silly amounts of lifesteal over barriers is the right choice, but there are quite a few anti lifesteal items in this game that can completely shut down your survivability if they see this pattern. Another thing I think Pocket just needs 100% of the time is duration. Longer barrage buff time = staying in the fight for longer, ADDITIONALLY, means that his ult becomes 35% more threatening. It's the best damage buff for his ult which FORCES teams to run debuff remover. Which brings me to my next item rec, refresher. Why have 1 full combo when can have 2? Pocket opperates in bursts of dmg after stacking his barrage, this gives you DOUBLE the up time, ATOP refreshing his item cds, ATOP giving him a SECOND ULT. Meaning that you can once again life steal a ton (since u have 2 massive bursts of dmg) AND cuck anybody using debuff remover. ALSO SPIRITUAL OVERFLOW! Please look at it I am begging you, It will not dissapoint. Also this is personal opinion, but I believe pocket doesn't need kevlar (especially since like you said, barriers arn't great late game anyways and I don't think 40 temp spirit is the best anyways) however, is a great optional item IF you are getting giga focused every engage. Although, on pocket you shouldn't be the engage anyways so I think having this problem means that the player in question is at fault for dying. Love the build, will definetely use some of it in my own, just thought I would leave some thoughts here for the giga chad pocket community.
kevlar is chosen because the barriers are just nice to let us get some lifesteal off, and the spirit power is nice too, but the base stats are also just great for pocket. lifesteal + armours lategame will ALWAYS be better than barriers regardless of heal reduction on the enemy team, just buy healing booster if theres that much and you will still be tankier than with barriers. refresher is a great idea, i may try dropping kevlar for it, unsure tho we will see. appreciate the intellectual comment
@@SSJuno Personally, drop the melee items since to my knowledge the tech got patched out (unless I am just really bad lol) My first item on pocket is almost 100% based on my lane matchup, if it is more spirit oriented I go point ward for the dmg buff + spirit shield and close quarters for the oppisite. I quite like taking mystic shot but only after burst (and this is a personal prefernce) and mystic reach. (I will explain this one later) Enduring soul imo is an optional item that you take only if needed (since it was 500 souls early that you have to sell later for slots) it also means I can't take cold front as early as I would like (a must pick for pocket imo since it gives great chase with the slow, extra burst, and adds some style to the combo I use late game) Mid game my core is improved reach, mystic vuln, duration, Spirit life steal, soul shredder, and Improved spirit. (sometimes mystic shot depending if I can afford it in the early mid game) Come late game I rush leech and exposure as soon as possible since it allows his ult to get SUPERB value (even though ult doesn't stack exposure it benefits off it heavily) Besides damage items, I personally prefer stamina over sprint speed since it gives pocket a TON of mid fight shmovement (also bc I believe movement is the best way to stay alive in this game bar none) I also ALWAYS run majestic leap for a certain tech that allows pocket to reach mach 10 speed while using barrage. (just use the fast fall with it then press barrage lol) FINALLY let me explain reach, it gives pocket WAY more leniency in his abilities therefore making getting barrage stacks INFINETELY easier, the bigger aoe on abilities makes him a bigger threat in more open areas which are one of his weak spots. Finally, it gives his ult the potential to hit WAY more people, and I believe his ult (besides his barrage) to be his best ability as it practically FORCES teams to run debuff remover, less they take more than half their health for FREE (especially since duration increases the dot time making it do more dmg). So hitting more people with it is inherintly more threatening. (It is 100% just me liking the extra range) Lastly, like I said, I take refresher and I also fw phantom strike. Refresher just gives pocket more up time, potential to coutner debuff removers by ulting twice, and opens up SO MANY hit and run plays whilst also giving him a REALLY FUNNY COMBO I REALLY LIKE. (It uses his whole kit twice plus 4 active items)
@@smeefu I have a great clip to sell you on it if you'd like. It involved a 12 ability string that uses his whole kit twice, and 4 active item slots. it's quite humours actually.

How do you feel about Cold Front? I always felt like it did good work early on, since you're getting close enough to hit Satchel and it provides even more burst. Also, you mentioned Diviner's Kevlar bonus spirit effecting the ult, but it's a buff that's placed on you for 15s when you ult that increases your spirit, so any spell cast afterwards will also gain the bonus damage from increased spirit.
