बी आर चोपड़ा जी महान निर्देशक थे,इनकी प्रत्येक फिल्में लाजवाब होती है फिल्म की कहानी,अभिनय संवाद बेमिसाल है।हमारी उम्र 70 साल है 10 साल की उम्र में देखा था कुछ याद नहीं था । पुनः आज देख कर आश्चर्य चकित हू की उस समय भी इतनी अच्छी गुणवत्ता की फिल्म बनती थी।
मैं 1960 में ही पैदा हुआ था, जब यह महान फ़िल्म रिलीज़ हुई थी। पिता जी सरकारी अफ़सर थे और उन दिनों उनके तबादले छोटे शहरों में हुआ करते थे (उनके सीनियर हो जाने पर हम बड़े शहरों में रहने लगे)। हम पीलीभीत में रहते थे । पीलीभीत में यह फ़िल्म 1967 में प्रदर्शित हुई (शायद दूसरी बार)। मैं सात साल का था, कहानी तो मोटे तौर पर समझ गया था लेकिन एक भी महत्वपूर्ण संवाद न समझ सका था। जब 40 साल का हुआ तब इंटरनेट का ज़माना आया। मैंने फ़िल्म RUclips पर देखी और मुग्ध हो गया। संवाद लेखक 'अख़्तर-उल-ईमान' को सलाम पेश करता हूँ। फ़िल्म के screenplay और संवादों की उच्च गुणवत्ता ने मुझे इतना प्रभावित किया, कि आज 2023 में, 63 साल की आयु में यह फ़िल्म शायद सातवीं या आठवीं बार देख रहा हूँ। BR Team को प्रणाम। BR Chopra साहब ने आगे अपनी कई फ़िल्मों में (इंसाफ़ का तराजू, आज की आवाज़, कल की आवाज़, धुंध आदि में) हमारे कानून की बहुत अच्छी बखिया उधेड़ी है। दुख है कि आज तक हमारी न्यायपालिका समय व देश की ज़रूरतों के मुताबिक़ अपने को विकसित नहीं कर सकी है, सुधार नहीं ला सकी है। माननीय मोदी जी से आग्रह है कि हमारी सड़ चुकी न्यायिक व्यवस्था को वैसे ही दुरुस्त करें जैसे वे देश की सड़कों को दुरुस्त कर रहे हैं। न जाने कितने निरपराध या अपराधी जेल में सड़ते हुये "अगली तारीख़" का इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं। 'निर्भया' जैसे खुले मामले में भी वक़ीलों के दाँवपेंच और क़ानून की लचर नीतियों के चलते फ़ैसले पर अमल करने में सात साल लग गये। उनमें से सबसे क्रूर पापी 'अफ़रोज़' को मात्र तीन साल के लिये 'सुधार गृह' में भेजा गया, क्योंकि काग़ज़ात के मुताबिक अपराध के दिन वह 17 साल 6 महीनों का था। इस लिये उस क्रूर बलात्कारी व जघन्य हत्यारे को "बच्चा" (juvenile) समझा गया। कोई मुझे बताये कि कोई "बच्चा" बलात्कार व क्रूर हिंसा कैसे कर सकता है? 😡😈
Gone are those days when Director and the writer would sit together for many months before starting the actual work. Gone are those actors when actor would live the role instead of performing it or acting it. Every scene carefully crafted, every word, dialogue carefully uttered. And gone are those people who would watch the movie with all the devotion keeping aside trivial things, interruptions by jellying into the movie as if they are part of the film !!! Salute to everyone !!!
The whole story baesd on justice ..not punishment ..punishment may be wrong ..but not justice ..great message shown in this films ..that's why I like old movies ..they were made to give messages to society ..what todays films spread ..hate ..valugurity ...and no message just making people ..valugar in their approach ..no sentiments ..very rare films ..show such content ..but not appreciated ..is there any writer ..any musician any producer who can make films like that...based on sicail duty ..emotional sentiments ..and above all ...aware people what's good or not

ये फ़िल्म वाह क्या बनाया है सुपर डुपर हिट राजेंद्र कुमार और अशोक कुमार के अभिनय से सुपर हिट फ़िल्म बन गई राजेंद्र कुमार तो अभिनय में नंबर वन थे आज हमारे बीच में ये सब कलाकार नहीं रहे फिर भी फ़िल्म के ज़रिए वो हमारे दिल में हंमेशा रहेंगे 👍

I am 22 and this is the first black and white movie i have watched because i was very curious about how a 60 year old movie story would be.. And i am surprised to see this film its excellent to see the great Ashok Kumar saab, Rajendra kumar saab on screen.. And the direction of Br chopra sir 🙏..... Today they are no more but still their creation will be forever alive ❤

Today again I saw this film and admired the dialogs of this film, specially when Kalia talks with doctor and Nandaji, Rajendra Kumar's after he says, mere jinda rehne ki koi wajah nahi.... awesome dialogues....👏👏👏👏👏

Amazing songless Thriller!! It was a golden era guys, & that too background score by great Salil da!! Just imagine if this movie had melodious Salil da's compositions!
Songs would have gone against johner of the film. It would dilute the impact. It must have been a conscious decision
B. R. Chopra must have been tempted to add a song especially on the song drama sequence. Definitely he must have shrugged off the very thought.
