    I don't think the agreement has to be the same nationally and provincially, but the vote of the people has to be taken into account. Provincially the voters said DA should have 22% of the vote, so the leadership of Gauteng should represent that. Nationally it should also be represented. And for those parties that refused to join the GNU, they should then become opposition parties.

    I don't agree with you Mpho on IFP, they were always working with apartheid regime. In townships during black on black violence they were delivered by hippos. Mangosuthu was a sellout of note. When IFP was formed it was an agreement between OR Tambo and Mangosuthu, but he changed his mind and worked with the apartheid.
    regime. People in KZN who supported UDF were brutally attacked and killed by IFP. Students at Mangosuthu College were attacked and some died, IFP. The majority of people were forced to have membership card of IFP.
    They nener intended to help black liberation but their aim was to protect white interest. I am very disappointed to hear you saying Mangosuthu was protective, of what really l?

    No, I have to disagree, all three spheres of government should correlate in its governance, it's literally the reason for the Department of Cooperation and Traditional Affairs (Cogta). Cause this level of heterogeneity will cause confusion to the electorate and service delivery will be difficult to observe as there could be possible 'sabotage' by one sphere to another and one political party to another. Gauteng will most likely collapse because of this different approach.

    • @MrLechesa

      How does your logic work when National And Provincial are governed by different parties?

    • @mandlamagadla5039
      @mandlamagadla5039 2 месяца назад

      No I disagree with you there's no law that says so, why do voters are given a choice to vote differently on both nationally and provincially

    • @mlungisimthanti8017
      @mlungisimthanti8017 2 месяца назад

      yes you can vote for different political parties in different spheres, but in the context of such a coalition it is more efficient to have the same coalition partners through out agreeing than to have different coalitions. That will be confusing to the electorate as to who must they vote for, not many focus on particular departments they look directly at the Mayor, Premier or President. So the heads of the executive can get credit where it is not due or get criticism as well. Eventhough it was a member of cabinet from another party the should be held accountable or credited.

    • @MrLechesa
      @MrLechesa 2 месяца назад

      @@mlungisimthanti8017 How does your logic work WHEN National and Provincial are governed by different parties??
      It doesn't work neh?? Forget Coalitions for now.
      The fact that they're different spheres of government means they can be led by different parties. I.e WC

    • @mlungisimthanti8017
      @mlungisimthanti8017 2 месяца назад

      @@MrLechesa We are living in coalition country, and there is a handful of provinces that still have 1 political party in the majority, where they can govern on there own you mentioned an example of WC. Then you have provinces that can no longer do that, where coalitions amongst parties have to form the majority example KZN, GP.
      The parties in these provinces can not do as they wish, cause coalition talks of the parties are done by the executives abo fikile mbalula of ANC, Helen Zille of DA, even at a provincial and municipal level it's the executives that negotiate and the leader of the lower spheres have to abide by the decisions.
      An example of this is DA Mayor Mpho Phalatse of Johannesburg, even though she was willing to bring PA or EFF on the table, because of egos of the leaders such as Helen Zille, Julius Malema, Gayton Mckenzie could not see eye to eye, she was ousted as Mayor at a municipal level (sphere).
      So what leader decide at the top trickles down to the bottom. And hence I say there must be a correlation between these sphere of government because failure to do so will result in confusion for the electorate as to who should be credited or criticized for governance failure or success and you can't have a situation where political parties at lower levels are a law unto themselves, it can cause factions & separations.

    Let me put your mind at ease my brother, ifp, the former national party called da and partly ANC started working together just before Mandela was released, as for the ifp it started working with np during the time when Mandela was in prison. Anc started working or conniving with the np during the time when the government of np was sanctioned for apartheid, to save their reputation they robbed the anc in by pretending to be wanting to end apartheid, unban liberation movements, release freedom fighters and allow for democracy whereas in actual fact they were only concern about their own being.
    Anc was used to throw off sanctions and to rebuild a healthy economy and healthy trade relations with other countries on behalf of DA.
    That is why cyril ramaphosa was planted in the anc, that is why Jacob Zuma was removed from anc intelligency so that the infiltration will grow roots....
    So, what is happening today was inevitable....the train is in motion now and is soon to gain momentum.

      Let me put you straight. The D.A. did not exist in 1994. They are an offshoot of the Progressive Party, led by Helen Suzman, a fiercely pro black party, a lady who was sanctioned and vilified for her pro black sentiments. The A.N.C. did not end Apartheid, the white electorate voted in a referendum to end it. The A.N.C. swallowed the N.P., there was no D.A. This is history, if you can have an open mind and be bothered to look it up. Also research the Black Sash, white woman who stood up against the N.P. to end Apartheid and then, just for fun, look up another lady who fought them at every turn, a reporter by the name of Helen Zille.

    Mpho the UK has the very same uchanged system, of monopolized democracy by two imprerialist parties, that is the Conservatives and the Labour and at times a coalition between the Labout and the Liberals or the Conservatives and the Liberals.
    It is not a change, it is the continuous same thing.

    Gauteng is not rich independently, monopoly capital decided to centre most of industries there.Moreover,most of the big companies in south Africa use the sandton, midrand and and centurion as headquarters.but their goods and services are destined for other provinces through satellite offices.Gauteng is nothing without other provinces, white people decided to have industries where they reside, while, you blacks cant do it cos you are not industrialist, you depend on white economic environment.And must stop reffering sandton as a rich square mile, cos that situation is described by the abovesaid.
