for the staircase, I think you could add a lava pool below the stairs and use trip-wire hooks to pull the stairs so you don't fall into the lava

The secret door was cool, but it doesn't work for my nintendo. I followed the instructions perfectly, but I ended up using a redstone torch as the key, not water. cool tip though!
