Great video! :) Here's another tip: If you want to animate an image (background + person) and the background slips away with every attempt, then I animate the character and the background individually. That means I have the character without a background with a green screen and the background without a character. It always works! At the end, of course, put the two together in the video editing program. I now prefer to use Minimax instead of Runway and use the unlimited package because it takes a few tries. All other packages make no sense.
Thanks for sharing that! I have the Monthly Unlimited Plan on Runway, but now I am planning to switch over to MiniMax's Unlimited Plan, since credits run out too fast.
@@FilmSpook I'm currently making a long film, which lasts about 2 hours, in cinema art. For me, minimax does a better job than runway. It's much more realistic and you don't have that slow motion. Of course, you shouldn't forget that the image, the starting point, is the most important thing. I had the best experience with Midjourney. Flux is also great, but I don't have the consistency that I need in the film. 🔥 By the way, hot tip: take a look at pixeldojo. There is, among other things, an image upscaler that is like Magnific (or something similar it's called 😅) and is a lot cheaper than Magnific.
@FilmSpook thought crossed my mind too. I'm on the unlimited plan and while it's good, they've not been as good lately and waste a lot of time trying to get the clip I want.
@@ldevs430 I feel you. I may stick with Runway for a bit longer, as I admit that I love some of their other features such as video-to-video. But yeah, MiniMax and Kling are really taking the lead, for now.

I just wish we lived in some kind of Star Trek post scarcity society so that when this tech gets really good it wouldn't have any effect on the economy, and filmmaking itself could just be like a hobby that people share with peers and close friends, that occasionally breaks into the mainstream.
I can't wait to use this to my advantage and create a whole animated series. it will be legendary. And I'm not even an artist. I just like comics, manga, and books
For the car explosion: Can we just note how Minimax understood that an exploding car's suspension would absorb some of the shock wave? And in the shot, the car is seen squatting from the force of the explosion.
I don’t know why people get mad or frustrated when these video gen’s start paid subscription. Ultimately staff, devs, and researchers need to get paid. The ONLY way you will get free ai is if you can run it yourself locally. That being said, if a product is good then there is nothing wrong with paying for it if you think it’s worth it. This and Pika think are worth it
Very true! People get frustrated by the switch to paid subscriptions because they do not really respect themselves nor the hard work of others. It is just that simple.
Yes it sux that they only offer paid subscriptions. Just have a basic model with a limit and a few ads. Increasingly we're creating a digital divide AI to be used by the rich and to be used on the poor.
Is there a way to combine that picture to video with the act-one from runway? I'd like to use real drawings, turn them into animations and add acting performance to it with eleven labs character voices and runway act-one features. Might be a little tricky still..?
Hands down the most insane video gen of them all and I've tried them all except Kling Ai cuz that shirt has been rendering a single video for weeks. My old laptop renders 20 minute cinematic 3d cutscenes faster than that
The generations I get don't look nowhere near as coherent and clean as the examples you gave here, and yet your prompting was minimalistic. Anything I'm missing ? It always looks better in demos than when I get my hands on it, was it 10 generations per idea to obtain your examples ?
Are you using Flux 1.1? I use Freepik and you can toggle through different versions. For example, if you use 'classic mode' you're not going to get anywhere near the caliber of results
It's all in the image you upload. Get that right, and it'll work wonders. Don't count on it to create mesmerizing imagery from scratch. It occasionally can, but don't count on it.

I just asked myself the same, and went with minimax unlimited sub. Neither of the other two have unlimited, and I wanna test A LOT. Kling had some amazing features, but failed to render 4/5 that I sent, and the one I got was in slowmo.I tried Runway months back, so was annoyed to find I couldn't test again, as you only get 3 free vids for LIFE, which is ridiculous. Minimax gives free users 3 free PER DAY..🤷🏻♂️ With the new image2video feature, and an unlimited tier, and if you have the cash, it's hard not to recommend Minimax. It also has less censorship for your content.
Can you create a step by step on how you created an extended video from an image and show how you uploaded, typed the prompt , modified the prompts , saved the videos ran it through additional tools to publish
I haven't tried it with realistic images, but I did experiment with my 2D drawings (Western cartoon style, not anime). The results were terrible and inconsistent. Perhaps it's not well-suited for 2D. I hope they'll eventually add a feature to automatically generate in-betweens from keyframes.
Just imagine making 3d animation videos without the long render times with added physics to it. I have my characters I just want to regenerate them into MiniMax and create some scenes with them
I'm now testing the free plan for 3 days, do you know if there are big differences in generation compared to the paid plan? or are there still flaws to work on? Thank you
No it won’t, as topaz will add extra frames to create a smoother looking video. Capcut can add detail though with its higher resolution enhancement which is definitely worth trying.
Yes, it sux that they only offer paid subscriptions. Just have a basic model with a limit and a few ads. Increasingly we're creating a digital divide AI to be used by the rich and to be used on the poor.
Hey, so both on kling and this website, it always badly distorts the faces on my image to video prompts. I don't understand why. I mean they are real pictures not ai generated, but that shouldn't be an issue? I'm wondering if it's something to do with the jpeg format they're in, or maybe something else. But I've tried multiple real pictures from different locations and different times and the result is the same, it COMPLETELY distorts the faces to where its unusable. Any ideas you have to avoid that??
I graduated with an animation degree and worked in the field for a while before moving over to a computer programmer which I also had a background in. I've been keeping pretty up to date with these advancements and needless to say this shit is blowing my mind. Tonight I'm just playing around making an animated cyberpunk apartment as a background for my remote morning meeting tomorrow. (Its Halloween and I have a cyberpunk helmet I'm wearing along with it because why not). I'm going to have to continue messing around with this stuff. I wanna make a video of my house exploding (once again, because why not).
The bad news is that it adds branding to your video. Unless, of course, you upgrade to the paid plan. I already can't keep track of the numerous paid plans I've subscribed to for various online services. It adds up. They're costing me hundreds of dollars every month. It would be a lot better (from the perspective of customers like me) if customers could pay to use the service for, say, 24 hours (or on a per download basis), without having to sign up for a year for services they might only need once or twice in a year.
thanks for video... but you are not addressing that you cant control it. and if you want to try, it takes a MASSIVE amount of descriptions, then goes through (of course it still charges you) and it took FOREVER at least five tries to get it to come in CLOSE not accurate....like it corners you to make use of the gliches it made.😡😡😡
