Glad to see that enjoyed it. I put everything I could into this little fangame and I have to give big thanks to the Undertoad team for helping me put this all together. And just to let you know, Daredevil mode does have a small secret when you beat it if you wanna give it a shot (I'd suggest buying some close-call badges).

Ok ok so this one is gold :
- The OST at the beginning inspired by the final battle of Elder Princess Shroob is really dope,
- The whole redesigned overworld system absolutely astonishing,
- Every single OST are in fact bangers (many inspired from Mario & Luigi games)
- The combination of many different type of puzzles + reference to deltarune is extremely appreciated
+ epic fight entrance scene

+ emotional moment and plot-twist

Also, all Luigi’s poses are Jojo References. The pointing one is Jotaro’s and the one where he had his right hand by his right shoulder and his hand to the side is a reference to one of Giorno’s poses. Thats also why it says Luigi is posing menacingly

If you have played any Mario RPGs you can appreciate all the references that went into this.
Mostly TTYD refrences
During the Luigi fight you can hear a mix between Brobot Battle, and Bonetrousle
An actual Undertoad fangame? I can't believe this is real!
The art, the music, the mechanics, the writing, everything has so much effort put into it!
These kinds of passion projects have got to be my favourite kind of fangames, they've got so much heart
funny thing is, the reason why it's an actual fangame is because it's made by the same members of the comic
There is actually an alternate scene if you were to fight luigi but before he falls you spare him
he actually just ends up walking off more calmly instead of crying
Anyway, thanks for playing this! I'm a really big fan of Undertoad myself because of how it is more than just characters forced into roles, it actually has a pretty good story so any attention the webcomic can get is greatly appreciated!
But for anyone that's reading this *do remember that the comic is on a indefinite hiatus and to not harass the people that made it to make more*

Edit: It's amazing just how clear it is that Merg has played very few Mario (rpg type) games based on how he was not going "yooooooo" about every half second, especially toward the beginning while seeing all those nostalgic characters.

i wasn't expecting to find this fangame so interesting, i really like how it implemented its platforming elements, that and the music is also very good. plus this is one in which the dialogue feels genuinely fun and engaging. my 12 years old self used to think about this crossover a lot, undertale and the mario franchise are the two that got me into videogames so there's some charm on seeing them together
Fun fact about Kopper:
Kopper was one of marios partners in the first paper mario game allowing mario to launch him at unreachable blocks and switches.
The amount of obscure Mario characters in this fan game is amazing, almost every character in town is from the paper Mario series!

I love how this time it isn’t just the peach kingdom as the monsters and the koopa kingdom as the human,but they are using the Mario and Luigi lore,by using the shroobs,I love it

Honestly as someone who saw the effect it had on public perception of Undertoad there’s a temptation to go “Mario Sans bad” but. The bullet patterns and phase transitions were so cool. I can’t hate it.

I love all the references to the Mario RPGs (Mostly Paper Mario but yeah). I mean, the Shroobs from M&L: Parnters in Time invading? I live that! And there’s lots of Paper Mario characters, like Kammy and Gombella and Kooper, there’s a lot of them. I love how Luigi is dressed like Mr. L, and I love how he’s using electric attacks too! I still wanna know why they have THE DARK PROGNOSTICUS FROM SUPER PAPER MARIO just on a shelf in a library how did it get there???? I want answers.

I was looking forward to you playing this. I seriously recommend trying out the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series that this game takes so much inspiration from if you haven't already. A lot of the same style of humor you saw in this game is also present in those games.

Just remembered the times I played the Poker minigames against Luigi in one of the Nintendo DS games, he truly was beyond a master of poker.

Ok, this video made it clear that Merg has not played ANY of the Paper Mario games, which is a shame. Possibility of playing through the first three? Those being "Paper Mario" for the N64, "Paper Mario: The Thousand year door" for Gamecube, and "Super Paper Mario" for the Wii. Those games are great experiences!
As someone who has played lots of Mario games, it’s nice to see all those characters from the mainline series in a fan game
