I just got mine in the mail and the "Installation Instructions" are this video! How about a heads-up to know what tool you need to install it?

I try to add one to cart for my Tarmac SL7 and in the cart is says for a Cube bike. I'd love to order one, but your site won't let me change the bike.

Okay, I finally got it installed. I haven't ridden it yet, but I will say it looks good with one caveat. First, if you aren't going to tell us what tool we need to remove the screws for the Varia mount, (a TORX) at least make the screws for your mount to match. It was a complete pain to figure out the Varia screws as they're black, small, and shrouded from light. Give us a Heads- Up. Second, there's a very good and completely aggravating reason the video shows the INSTALLATION with a super-skinny tool. It can't be done properly with a larger-bodied ratchet type, like the one you'd find with multiple heads. The screws are tiny, as mentioned, and you have to work around the design of the mount to get the tool in there. Again, supplying a simple, L-shaped TORX wrench would have been perfect. Now, here's the only caveat I have about the cosmetics. Black mount, black seatpost, SILVER SCREWS?! Why?! They stand out like 2 sore thumbs! Please send the specs for those so I can see if I can source some black ones. I get that not everyone will care, but if we're spending 50.00 on a mount to prevent a taillight from turning a few degrees, there's a good chance silver screws will not be looked upon favorably. Great concept, but it just needs some polish, in my opinion. Thanks

Hello Tjader, thank you very much for your detailed feedback. It helps me to further improve my products. In fact, we have already thought about supplying the appropriate tools. I used black screws at the beginning, but they started to rust. So I replaced them with silver stainless steel ones. Kind regards Steven

So Tjader does bring up a couple of good points but not something that should be an ender for what looks to be a solid mount. I'm a tool junkie so finding the appropriate driver that fits the screws is a slam dunk. If you don't have the correct tool, this is a perfect excuse to buy a nice set that could possibly be used down the road. As for the silver screws I get that too since I suffer from massive OCD when it comes to my bikes. I know it's a hassle and added expense, but buy a can of black spray paint and a small disposable artists brush. Spray some paint inside the lid the can came with and use the brush to touch up the screw heads. Voila, problem solved. Most importantly get out there and go on a nice ride with the piece of mind your expensive Garmin Varia camera is no longer affixed with rubber bands and empty promises. 👍

Forgot to say the tool to remove the black screws from the Varia mount is a T10 and the stainless steel screws take a 2mm. Hope this helps.

@@sloperoadcycling great point, I didn't consider that! I bought some adhesive black screw covers, for the time being. See how long they last. Thanks!

@@davidpancerz5820 absolutely NOT an ender. It's been windy and rainy here, so I haven't been able to test the installation. It's definitely more tidy and secure though. Great tip on painting the screws, guess I was too into my feelings and didn't think about that, so I bought a sheet of adhesive screw covers. They cover the holes completely, so I should save a few watts from that! Right?🤣😂

    Is it durable? 🤔

The fact that you need a tool to install this is not great. Then you have the tiny screws that come loose or get lost. Hmmmm…

Hi Dave, thank you very much for your comment! You only need the tool once, but after that your Varia is rock solid and secure. I lost mine with the original mount, so I developed my own solution. The screws haven't come loose yet and I haven't heard anything similar from customers. Have a smooth ride! Steven
