I agree. I guess they were trying to show the instruments fighting for dominance, but it came across like two immature siblings who can't even stop annoying each other long enough to shoot a video. There are a million other ways that could've been portrayed. This annoyed the hell out of me as a pianist--I'm salty just having watched this and couldn't even enjoy the otherwise good music.

So as I understand it, many of these people are upset because the performers prerecorded their music, but honestly they do it for the purpose of giving us, the audience, a good show. Many people become disinterested if there isn't a visual to a video. The only way to do this without mashing the piano keys or hitting the wrong string is to prerecord and add it in later. Rather than complaining, we should appreciate their commitment to the performance as im sure it takes a lot of effort to sync up the audio.
