It is not like genuine hip-hop and quality lyricism have been proven to be unable to captivate the masses. Sometimes it just needs a push. It is also amazing to see hip-hop greats aging gracefully. What used to be a young man’s game in which young black men and boys lived fast and died young has matured into a viable lifelong art form and career. Long live hip-hop.
