I really love the way Jadakiss is pushing this record. I feel that real hip-hop takes a backseat partly because the other nonsense gets a bigger push from artists and labels alike. Let us not forget that once upon a time not so long ago this was what was popping in the clubs, in the streets, on the the television music channels and on the radio. It is not like genuine hip-hop and quality lyricism have been proven to be unable to captivate the masses. Sometimes it just needs a push.
It is also amazing to see hip-hop greats aging gracefully. What used to be a young man’s game in which young black men and boys lived fast and died young has matured into a viable lifelong art form and career. Long live hip-hop.
