I wish the Iranian government and policymakers are as good and beautiful as their music. I love Persian music and believe it is the best ambassador for the Iranian people to the rest of the world.
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the government of Iran's policies stands against Persian music! People themselves are protecting Persian music without getting any help or interest from the government. I wish to see peace and beauty all over the middle east and the region. May it regain its honor and beauty once more!
@@ErfanLand well said 👍🏻 music is the international language across cultures. It can emotionally communicate and make peace by showing the beautiful side of cultures. Politics and politicians do exactly the opposite, but the good thing is that politicians have expiry dates at one point of time, music is timeless 👍🏻
🤔😵💫🤦♀🤦See the BIGGER PICTURE! We need historical CONTEXT to understand so much of the reason why Iran is what it is today: thank the "Great Satan"{my own CIA + country, by the way) for cruelly disrespecting Iran since 1954 and generally treating the Iranian people with contempt, with the willful slavish assistance of the Shah against HIS OWN PEOPLE, FFS!💔😭....Yes, there may be things you all do not like about the Islamic Republic's governance, BUT by engaging them in dialogue & mutual respect~rejecting criminal sanctions that hurt the people~ we stand the best chance of gaining the trust of Iran & therefore seeing a better life for her proud, admirable & wonderful people, as represented by these TRULY blissful musical masterpieces; the present course of events, as fostered by the U.S., is only sadistic & sociopathic{i.e., evil) and must change soon.

The one that don't listen to official lies they know the real Persian culture and love it. There are more American tourist to Iran in past few years than ever before. They can't hide diamond under the dust for ever and Persian civilization is the Diamond. 💕

Iranian classical music has always had a deep impact upon me ever since I went to live and work in that very beautiful and hospital country prior to1979
I agree with both of you dudes. …I guess that just goes to show how tricky the job is (no such thing as a “perfect translation”; especially from eastern to western languages [or vice versa]). The music is enough satisfaction for me (right?!)

Much of this is modern and Western-influenced, particularly the symphonic pieces. It's good music, but not what I was expecting from the title, "Persian Classical Music Essentials".
Traditional Persian music influenced much of Hispanic music, it would’t surprise me if It had influenced the rest of the Mediterranean in a similar manner.
@@odette5031 It did (well, indirectly... Persian music influenced Arab music which was brought north to Spain from Morocco after the Arabs conquered most of North Africa). However, what I'm hearing here is clearly movement in the opposite direction, coming much later (20th and 21st century).
I wonder what "dode oud" in persian means? I could not resist to derive the meaning in dutch of these two words :-) ruclips.net/video/G6mmq8Ve38o/видео.html

it is also called Zarb which is its Arabic name
