Whats criminally underrated is Ubisoft edging and teasing us with Survival elements instead of just making a Survival game. Swear to god both Far Cry primal and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora wouldve made for such great survival open world games, but Ubi cant let go of their formula so we end up getting edged with features like cooking your own meal and an energy bar instead of just giving us Hunger and Thirst, maybe energy regarding sleeping, because that would lead to them actually making something new and we all know they like to copy paste a lot.
One reason I love this channel so much: One of the only gamers you see on the internet that doesn't analayze every cm of a game and complain if it's not a 10/10 like most people today. Just enjoys games that can pass time without them having to be masterpieces. People see 7/10 and complain and will never play it. The game doesn't have to be amazing, but if it's fun, its on his list and that's all I need.
Him and Jake Baldino just make me keep being hyped to watch RUclips videos. I'm tired of all the hating. So many quality games being released constantly, so many games that went under the radar throughout the years and are super fun, and people seem to be bothered about everything. I love how some people keep the positivity moving forward in this medium ❤
Gaming used to be about passion now its an over saturated space due to covid, people just love to complain, i remember when people used to have fun with bugs and glitches and not make a 12 page essay on how gaming is dead on twitter 🤣🤣 there has been some amazing games lately but if its not mainstream and bug free it gets overlooked quickly
The hard part is that the fun meter is completely subjective so I can see someone turning down a 7 that would totally mesh with them for a 10 that many people hail as game of the year.
I played Mad Max & Days Gone & I enjoyed them both a lot. I bought Far Cry Primal forever ago and played it a little but then dropped it shortly after because there was some heavy hitters that came out around the time I bought it. I think I’m gonna give it another shot tho, currently playing the infamous series and loving them can’t believe it’s took me this long to play them.
@@JonCollinsMedia Days Gone is very good, I highly recommend it. The catch is will you like the main characters, I loved them, but not everyone is down with them at all. The game itself is better than most. Deacon Lee Saint John/Deacon St. John and Boozer are the best of main characters lol
Immortals Fenyx Rising is amazing! Very fun to play and explore, especially if you're into Greek mythology. The Chinese DLC is also great and two others are just ok.
Here are 10 more: - L. A. Noire - Homefront the Revolution - Mirrors's Edge Catalyst - Mass Effect Andromeda - Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 - State of Decay - Prototype - Just Cause 3 - Chernobylite (not exactly open world, more like a hub world) - Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Dave's gone is one of the most criminally underrated games ever. It was a near masterpiece and the fact that we didn't get a sequel and a trilogy out of it.Will never make sense to me
Because far too many people listen to what IGN has to say about games. They promote hogwash while also giving low ratings and major criticism to actual gems in gaming. They're awful.
Glad to see you put Sleeping Dogs so high on your list...ABSOLUTELY loved it when it was first released. My backlog is pretty long and open world games make it more difficult to clear but LOVE your list.
You're making me feel bad for buying Mad Max for $4.99. I basically stole from the company even though it was on sale. That game felt next gen compared to "next gen" games.
lol days gone isnt going to get more attention due to it blocking out 2/3's of the gaming community with it going to/needs a psn account to play same thing happened to helldivers 2 all psn published games will be suffering the same fate. sony is killing any games they're publishing by blocking most of the world
I knew this list was legit when I saw Mad Max was the first game covered. Extremely underrated game. Was dope to see games like Days Gone, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Far Cry Primal, Sleeping Dogs, and Watch Dogs get mentioned as well. Great list. 🔥
I always buy every Far Cray game. 3 and 4 are still my favorite but Primal is the only one I’ve played through twice, they always put out awesome games
Mad Max was such a dope game. Really good. Played through it multiple times. I was hoping to see it on the list. Even at #20, I’m just glad to see it getting love.
Bomb video. After all, I already own many of the mentioned games, but I discovered at least 4 and bought 2 of them straight away thanks to a good discount. Sleeping Dogs and Red Faction Guerrilla. Thanks a lot for these discoveries.
i actually liked Far Cry Primal and even played few times i been meaning to back and replayed again it's a good game with great potential but unfortunately that potential will never be
Excellent presentation and a couple of solid recommendations for me to check out. Thanks. Huge shoutout to Lego City too. I played it unironically as an adult for fun, but since way more with my 4 year old nephew and he absolutely loves it. We call ourselves team Chase McCain.
Red faction and days gone were 2 games that really got me. Absolutely amazing games. Days gone had crazy potential with the horde modes. It was a solo game you could play with friends due to those modes, trying to 1up eachother with a high score.. it was one of the most nostalgic experiences I had with any game post 2000's Also, generation zero was terribly underrated after updates. It reminded me a lot fallout in ways mixed with other RPGs..
I consider Assassin's Creed Syndicate one of the best AC games EVER! This is one Ubisoft should remake to upgrade the graphics and game play but not change anything with the story.
The Mad Max game is really cool. The story really only makes sense if you have the background knowledge of the franchise, but otherwise a much better experience than even the movies.
I would also put State of Decay 2 on this list. It’s not a groundbreaking game by any means, but to me there was something so satisfying about recruiting a group of survivors and scavenging resources to build up a habitable camp. It was sort of like a post apocalyptic Sims game with some decent gunplay lol.
I 100% completed Far Cry Primal 5 times and finished the story another 4. This is hands down the best game in the franchise imo. Since it was launched in 2015, no other Far Cry game took the #1 spot for me. It's a truly underrated gem.
I am not thaaat much into driving games but I love the Mad Max films, and seeing now that I can explore camps and punch people I might check it out after all, thanks!
That’s cool and all but doesn't change the facts that there are 3.5 million people in Uruguay and 49 million kangaroos in Australia.. which means if the kangaroos think about invading Uruguay, each person have to step up and fight 14 kangaroos.
Days Gone is a good game that could have been great. Unfortunately, it's clear that some upper level managemer got their hands on the game and forced them to cut things from the game.
Mad Max has a special place in my heart. A game that very few people actually seem to know exists, and I'm sure many people that do just instantly judge it with "just another low quality movie game". That game is absolutely amazing. It's extremely fun, it has a great sense of progression, and the combat is simply fun even after doing it for dozens of hours. If you haven't played it yet, what the hell are you waiting for?
I remember i got near the end of mad max before i realised i could unlock different fight moves ect, i went through so many outposts and that one boss fight with nothing but default hands 😂
Solid list. I never actually beat Primal because I always played it on survival mode or whatever they called it. So every time I died I had to start the game over lol. Early in the game if I ran in to a saber tooth tiger in the middle of the woods I knew it was a game over lol. Basically they only way to get far was to try to train a strong animal as fast as possible so you could ride it through the woods
Am not big on the Far Cry series but Far Cry: Primal was great, such an interesting setting and idea. Parts of it were notably reused in the Assassin's Creed series (e.g. Origins).
IGN after years of thinking they were the ones to follow and believe, come to realize they were FOS and usually, mostly wrong about every game I ended up liking. Days Gone is AMAZING. I now watch ACG, TheRadBrad, Hollow, FightinCowBoy, Brian Menard just to list a few. New Subscriber. Enjoyed Far Cry Primal but it is hard. Or I just suck at it.
I didn't really like the setting of Mad Max. I get it, but I think if the same game happened in a setting where you are a part of a bike gang for example that would be fine af
I haven't met anyone who hates it. It just flew below the radar of many and in my opinion is the most immersive zombie game out there. Dying Light is too over-the-top and I don't like their open worlds. So sad that we will never get a sequel, because it's the embodiment of what I always wanted a zombie game to be.

Far cry primal is criminally underrated, it's super fun!
The way they handled the day/night cycle was *chef's kiss*. Hunting at night was genuinely anxiety inducing.
@thebarbaryghostsf exactly👍
I’ve played through primal about 7 times. Once every couple years.
Whats criminally underrated is Ubisoft edging and teasing us with Survival elements instead of just making a Survival game. Primal was great, only thing I missed was rain and thunder. Imagine having thunderstorm at night and suddenly jaguar jumping on you.

Man you're corny
Not for everybody. Some people just don't have enough free time or $$ to play 7/10.
The hard part is that the fun meter is completely subjective so I can see someone turning down a 7 that would totally mesh with them for a 10 that many people hail as game of the year.
Sleeping Dogs is one of my all time favorite games. I recommend it to everyone, and it's sad how many people have never heard of it.
Mad Max, Days Gone and Far Cry Primal are all very badass games! Still randomly start from the beginning and play em all over again.
I never played Days Gone, but the other two I played a lot and enjoyed the hell out of em.
I played Mad Max & Days Gone & I enjoyed them both a lot. Never played days gone or FC primal but am going to now. And mad max…. A diamond in the dirt for sure. Love that game.

@@nickbriggs8059 I recommend turning off the mini map for FC Primal. It makes the experience far more immersive
Great list! I’m so tired of RUclipsrs recommending the same 50 games everyone has played this list was pretty genuine!
Thanks to this channel I bought Mad Max on sale and never regretted it.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is amazing! Very fun to play and explore, especially if you're into Greek mythology. The Chinese DLC is also great and two others are just ok.
Rather play ac odyssey
@@SuperBlazeOfficial Nah! That game is ass lmao.

KCD brilliant game, thought at the start it was very hard and impossible to get the hang of but when I did. I loved it
Dying Light 1. Absolutely phenomenal
100% best Zombie game of all time
Yes 🎉
Here are 10 more:
- L. A. Noire
- Homefront the Revolution
- Mirrors's Edge Catalyst
- Mass Effect Andromeda
- Sniper Ghost Warrior 3
- State of Decay
- Prototype
- Just Cause 3
- Chernobylite (not exactly open world, more like a hub world)
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Sniper games are horrible and andromeda is boring compared to the trilogy, rest are good even homefront 2
Kingdom of Amalur is so bad. Boring, répétitive.
Dave's gone is one of the most criminally underrated games ever. It was a near masterpiece and the fact that we didn't get a sequel and a trilogy out of it.Will never make sense to me
DEI killed the sequel
right?? I ignored reviews because it looked like my kinda game and man, did it deliver. I have no idea how to find flaw in it.

I still hate SKIZZO so fing much bro.... I have platinum 4 times on days gone hahaha
Where did Dave go?
I think homefront the revolution should be on this list it has a fun and heavily detailed open world
Days gone and KCD are phenomenal !
Saboteur is an absolute classic
Combat and driving like GTA, climing like early AC and stealth like Hitman… how could it ever be bad?
Kind of older games, but Total Overdose and the original 2 Just Cause games are both very underrated.
Atlas Fallen Reign of Sand should be on here. It’s on Gamepass and wayyyy more fun than some other lengthy titles mentioned.
Glad to see you put Sleeping Dogs so high on your list...ABSOLUTELY loved it when it was first released.
My backlog is pretty long and open world games make it more difficult to clear but LOVE your list.
played and beat it on ps3 about 10 years ago lol
loved every second of it
You're making me feel bad for buying Mad Max for $4.99. I basically stole from the company even though it was on sale. That game felt next gen compared to "next gen" games.
Same here bought it while on sale for my Rog Ally & my PS5 lol looks much better on the Ally but still good on console as well
i mean... it is 10 years old.
Days Gone and Immortal Fenyx Rising deserve more attention indeed!

sleeping dogs was originally going to be a new entry in the true crime series. i don't remember why it changed.
Just stumbled upon this channel. What a treat!
Watch dog 2 is also a goated game for me ❤
Far Cry Primal was my 1st Far Cry and I fell in love with the franchise

Days Gone and Far cry primal were some of my favorite games. I never go by critic scores no more. Just wish they’d make a part 2 of both these games.
Nearly played em all. Good list to be honest. Well done😊

FYI on Mad Max.
It is a solid well done port to PC. The game has good short, medium and long term goals to keep you entertained.
2:30 the main reason i hated those old games was because of the stupid timer! To each their own though.
Also, great video.
I really like Mad Max and Sable. If both could get 60fps patches on PS5, that would be great.

Days Gone is a good game that could have been great. Unfortunately, it's clear that some upper level managemer got their hands on the game and forced them to cut things from the game.
There's a bundle on Humble right now for Generation Zero. Base game itself is $1 (!). Or you can get the game and a whole slew of DLC for $15.
