- I been watching the man Jeremie Albino from afar for hot minute. Hes been making waves and rockin' shows across the country with label-mate Cat Clyde (same label that Big Krit released his first projects on, Cinematic Music Group, surprisingly diverse roster there). The blues-fringed, sharp dressed crooner from Canada invited me out there to experience my first blizzard recently. He showed me where he grew up around Toronto, the hard streets i'd only heard about in Drake songs. I met the Albino family, visited Jeremie's farm, and got a taste for his weird life, a mix of rural and urban experiences. I almost didn't make it through the border checkpoint at the airport, as the interrogator really didn't share your appreciation for my mission of recording folk music from around the world.
He relented though, and I got some dope songs out there with Jeremie at the farmhouse, his dad Pardo's taxi meter shop and more. While I haven't finished editing those, Jeremie and Crispin (his manager and all around awesome music dude) stopped in Nashville on their way to SXSW. Unfortunately it was cancelled amid pandemic news, and they were stranded with nothing to do here in the USA. So, we made a video on the roof in Nashville on a sunny day in February. I'll give a shout out in the comments to anyone who recognizes that guitar, too.

Thanks to my good pals at GemsOnVHS for shooting this with me. The timing for this one was pretty intense. Shot this video a couple days after the tornado touched down in February. We got into town around 8pm that night and within a couple hours sirens were going off and we were pretty shaken up. By morning we realized what had happened and it was crazy to see how the whole community rallied around eachother. Days after that we left town on route home and then COVID-19 hit. I’ve had the town of Nashville on my mind ever since and I wish all my friends and the residents well in these crazy times ❤️

Really liking this one! And that sure does look an awful lot like your J45 from that awesome Kalob Griffin video. Like someone else said down here in the comments, the sound y’all get with these videos is wonderful
it sure is friend!
Good stuff
Nice one!!
god damn!
That one person who disliked probably doesn't have a great taste in music.
Wow
@GemsOnVHS How do you select the artists you wanna record and feature? Asking for a friend.
Such a wonderful song. Where was this filmed?
what boots are those
Is that the same old gibson that Sierra used in her first video with you?
Not the exact one, no! This guitar has appeared in a Josh Okeefe video, and Kalob Griffin when he did one with Sierra and Josh.
Reminds me of the days mining bitcoins...
last time i was in nashville, a homeless man tried to steal the boots off my feet.
DeskWhiskey my bad bruh. I was in a rough spot in life.
Imma be honest the whole 2 chord thing for the first half of the song almost killed it for me but then the chorus came in and then he says it about panning for gold wow
