every diary entry i make is motivated by the possibility of it being exposition for someone in the future. i also frequently rip out some pages and hide them around the house. is that not the reason people keep diaries?
@@otsukaharu4501 I feel that's the only reasonable and responsible thing to do. If you're not anticipating being the postmortem, unvoiced sidekick in someone's perilous adventure; you're not living right.
I think it would awesome if Gab spoke more in her native language or maybe play a game by a Dutch developer or played with Dutch audio or something like that maybe a "How does it sound in Dutch" video. It's what drew me to her channel, Gab can speak so many languages and its basically a super power. Love to hear and see more of it. Her content is great.
What if Helen was the one in the other chair? Like Chris was using his powers to talk to her from beyond the grave and she realized this-- she knew she wasn't going to be saved--so she sat herself in one of the chairs to preserve her consiousness using the power of the astroid in order to help him in the future. One thing that supports this theory is that after he unplugs the device connected to the astroid we don't hear her anymore. Though, it could have also just all have been in his head or him using his power since we also don't hear her anymore when he remembers all that happend/when he remembers her. What troubles me is the discrepancy of the town being long since abandoned, yet we hear and see people in it at times. I have a loose theory that, well, obviously he has powers that lets him see echos of people from the past, but what if for the majority of the game he was actually in the future? And he interacted with his mother and Helen from the far distant past, but everyone else we hear and breifly see are actually from the present? Like, we see Aneira in a little truck stop resteraunt, and then it is suddenly old and decrpid. That matches with everything else we see. Maybe when he leaves the place he is seeing it for what it used to be because he remembers? If he is actually in the future, what if that old man is him? Or actually it may be more likely that Chris just wasn't seeing everything accurately in the first place then once remembering his past he can see the world clearly again since the urge to be there is gone. I have too many theories. help
I'm still new to Gab's channel so there's a lot I haven't seen yet; like her playthrough of the demo of this game. However, I do remember watching Jack play this, and all I could think of is, "Aneira?? A-far-a?? A-wherever you are-a??" Anybody else remember that? lol
"I don't like that it's open.." - Gab "I gotchu, homie." - Game "That closed quickly.." - Gab "Speed delivery is the name of the game!" - Game, probably.
Halfway through this video, I'm obsessed with the idea of places that Go Wrong for some reason. This game nails it, reminds me of the AWE events from Control, or the premise of my favorite podcast I Am In Eskew.
I actually just commented that this gave me David Lynch (specifically parts of Twin Peaks) vibes in great ways, so if that’s not something you’ve checked out, I’d highly recommend it.
The Pelican Inn, a "Bobinson's" brewery pub. Obviously means Robinson's brewery from my town, Stockport. Just like the "Star" shop is clearly a Spar. Not enough games are set in modern day Britain. They mainly play with our history.
I doubt you’ll see this Gab but I’ve started to love your videos and I’m on a solid binge of them, you rock. Thank you for all the streamy uploady goodness!
Yay! Another sweet long upload from my favourite RUclipsr 😊❤️ thank you gab for all the great videos always! Love from South Africa! Ek hoop jyt 'n wonderlike dag verder!
This is the game I wanted you to play since I told you a few weeks ago to start Indies again! I knew you played the demo or the early access and your video was the first one I watched then I watched CJU and I was like “where do I remember this from?!“ I love this cozy little diner opening💕
I'm surprised she wasn't attacked by the other two ghosts. I didn't find the loudspeaker on my first playthrough, and had to escape these ghosts all the time.
I never found the loudspeaker either. I was surprised at how underwhelming and dull the "enemies" were though. Slow enemies that you can nearly walk away from, and sprinting makes it super easy to get away. Never got attacked once. Was very disappointed when I learned that was the only enemy in the game. It wasn't scary or a threat. I was so untrigued when I played the demo a while back, but the final game wasn't for me. I was so ready to solve a mystery in the woods with some being walking around, and instead, it was just running around collecting items and listening to memories. That's fun enough and all, but I quickly forgot that it was supposed to be a horror game. Tad bit disappointing.
I was not expecting to hear the voice of Nurse Liz from The Cat Lady when I started this video omg, I was just absolutely sucker punched with nostalgia and it got me so much more hyped for this game, holy shit. 😱
Woah, this horror was very much my style. Lovecraft-inspired eldritch fungi, secret facilities, experiments on children, a relatively happy ending... Yeah, I loved this. And Gab is always such a calming presence to ride along with.
I think the kid was seeing people from the "other side" as in people who died. he could interact with them more readily when the meteorite facilitated the interactions i assume... just my interpretation :) thanks for playing such a cool game Gab!
and that is how in the end he sees his Dad and is able to pull the plug and release all the things that the scientists bound up within the meteor... BECAUSE! he forgives everyone
Something about the aesthetic of the fast travel “room” really feels like David Lynch. Maybe it’s because of all the creepy black and white sequences in Twin Peaks. What are those guys called? The smokers?
Something about the style (a specific scene in particular) reminded me of another horror I played recently but I can't absolutely remember what its name was. I'm almost sure it's the same developer. It starts as a very retro game set in the house where the main character had grown up, you have to type the actions such as "open the car" or "switch on the light" or "read the note" etc., and it gets progressively more oppressive until you reach your room... It's divided in 3 different levels. I really can't remember the name.
I think you couldn't dig or pick up the keys right away was because they wanted you to see certain story elements first, like the part with the basement, since the marking on the wall seems to be a map to where you would have to dig
I'm not sure who else has that thing where if you watch anything in first person for too long (especially on an empty stomach) eventually you become nauseous. I'm sure the games you play like these are great though but I'm gonna have to sit this one out too.
My dad used to have a phone EXACTLY like the one in the car glovebox in the beginning. Think it was a Nokia. It had easily replaceable face plates, so you could customize it with any color you wanted.
i just had panic attack at work and somehow your horror videos always soothes me.. even though horror's purpose is to make the audience scared and anxious 😂
I love this game and keep coming back to this playthrough a lot - especially the sound design and visuals are phenomenal and gab's amazing commentary makes it have cozy and creepy vibes at the same time ☺️
I just wanted to see some good horror gameplay....actually, i found it on your channel. It's like it was yesterday (well, it was LOL) when i found your videos on YT. Now i'm addicted :P
So fun another game like this. This start at the woods with the strange device and signal tower reminds me to the fourth level of In Sound Mind. Thanks Gab.💚
The language here reminds me much more of the scp foundation, than control, some of the terms used makes the resemblance uncanny, almost feels like CB at times
It makes me so happy seeing Welsh in media. Our little country doesn't get much representation. Love the creators for including bits of the Welsh language in this sick game; diolch yn fawr iawn!

U ever have that moment where you think going to a certain place is where you need to go to progress the game, so U go the other way to explore and end up finding out that the area you skipped thinking it was the main area and were gonna come back to it turned out to be the side area. Hiii, new subscriber here! I really like how relaxed and chill your gameplays are.
The voice of the lady on the restaurant reminds me of Alix Wilton Regan (Samantha Traynor from Mass Effect 3). It's a very similar voice.
