I guess we have something in common. My wife and I took 6 seeds from a Lemon slice and placed the in a wet paper towel and placed that in a zip lock bag and placed the bag in a dark place for ten days. On the tenth day we took them out and each one grew a root. We then placed them in a flower planter. We couldn’t believe how fast they are growing. We live in NYS and you don’t see very many Lemon Trees up north. We will eventually plant them in their own large planter. They will live indoors in the winter and outside come Spring, Summer and later on in the Fall, we will bring them back inside for the winter. Go luck with your Spruce Trees. Richard

Love this! I'm currently running my own little experiments on some red pine seeds I found and hoping to germinate. Thanks for sharing

Just use a ice cream gallon container and keep the lid on the first week. Does the same thing as the bag and no re planting.

Hello. How did you disinfect the soil and seeds? If the plant becomes infected with fungus during growth and irrigation, what should be done?

Great question. Above my level of knowledge. I used straight up soil and no disinfectant.
