I'm not trying to say anyone else is to blame here other than Dean Cameron.
But as we heard, just nine months prior to killing Marie, Dean was released after spending four years in prison for sexual crimes.
Why on earth would the parents of Maries friend allow a man who spent four years in prison for sexual crimes come to live in there home with their 15 year old daughter and obviously having teenage girls around the home that are friends of their daughter! !
It was EXTREMELY irresponsible for Maries friends parents to allow another teenage girl to spend the night at there house knowing this man has a serious history of sexual violence! Maries mother should have been told that this man living there was a sexual criminal (BEFORE LETTING HER TEENAGE DAUGHTER SPEND TIME AT THEIR HOUSE AND SLEEP AT THERE HOUSE)!
Her friends parents (or mother... whoever she lived with) should have been charged with knowingly putting a teenage girl in danger!! She was NEGLIGENT!

Society wants us to believe that inmates coming out of prison should have a second chance at life upon their release. Blame the message our world is brain washing us with. There is no opportunities available nor any "second chances" for people who finished doing their time in prison. We as a society should just accept that all prisoners should never be trusted ever again, even after they do their time, and stop brain washing our people that these people should deserve second chances in life. If you to go prison your life is fucked and you are trash to society. Let's be real.

They have a daughter same age as the victim. Be careful whom you let into you and your family lives. Sadly her daughter’s friend home was not a safe environment for her. These type of sexual predators are always lurking about. I remember as a teenager, attending my classmate’s birthday party. So the father was supposed to drop us off, he purposely drop everyone off, than slyly drive towards my home, pass the turn, onwards towards the beach...for a bit of cool breeze he said.
I was so scared....I started crying....my inner instincts were telling me I am in danger, I was bawling my eyes out....I irate him so much, he end up saying. alright alright...I’ll take you home. After the incident, I stop being my classmate friend, he keeps on popping to see us, as he knows my mother. I was always rude to him, if he said hello. Imagine the gall of that man.... my mum sort of scolded me for being rude. The basket was confident I wouldn’t tell, and my mum was not curious enough to find out why I was rude to him. They’re monsters, out to destroy other peoples lives.

They learn more about crime in prison than in streets but the child molestors and sex offenders should be killed on spot. That’s what they are attracted to young girls and boys. Just like us normal society is attracted to people of our age so they gonna go after young children we need to eliminate the problem not put them in jail and feed them 3 meals a day , no worries of working or paying bills . To each his own - but i have known personally at least one young girl who raped before she was 12. They caught the rapist & the dna evidence proved it plus the rapist admitted & he had raped multiple times. The girl never really recovered though she went for counselling and theraphy even as an adult she still has ptsd. in my country rapists are not given the death sentence. But to me & the rest of the family who know this girl personally - the rapist got off lightly. Our consolation is that our belief that in the next world the rapist will get his full sentence from the Creator. The same goes for people who make false accusations of rape or molest - there is a Creator & such people will receive their punishment if they got away with it here on Earth. But i truly believe a death penalty is a powerful deterent to some potential rapists & potential murderers. As for those who disagree about the death penalty- unless you have been raped or had a loved one raped it is difficult to fathom the issue. To each his own.

@@loulou3676 I still prefer the Amerian way, and it is false that in the US "breathe too loudly near a police officer, death penalty". That is a gross exaggeration - and in all probability you were just being emphatic. You seem to have forgotten that, although the death penalty is legal throughout the country at the federal level, at the state level only 27 (out of the 50 states) have the death penalty.
The American Justice System has flaws, defects and shortcomings. After all, no Justice system is perfect. However, one thing is for sure: we won't see there one killing an entire orphanage and getting a 5-year suspended sentence. Perhaps in the UK that can happen. In France it is very probable. In much or EU it is likely. In the US it is highly improbable.
The US is the only country in the industrialised West where murder is taken seriously, and murderers can expect tough sentences, with the death penalty or without it.
Before I forget, I am not a US citizen.
