"In these rather complicated times, we are all in need of positive thinking, and yet the term has been so abused in the last 25 years, it seems worthwhile to devote some time trying to clarify basic values."
These words were spoken over 60 years ago but remain true to this day - perhaps even more so. If ever we needed a positive outlook and constructive thinking habits, the time is always now. Manly Hall presents a straight forward approach to the problem of the day, with practical and simple solutions for a busy person in the modern era.

Yes, it's the fake positivity he talks about at the beginning of the segment
True! We have only removed a handful of comments over the years, mainly due to someone trying to sell something. The negative comments stay because that is part of the conversation. I think his lectures attract a certain kind of thinking (and posting), and it may very well be that listening to his words sets the stage for positivity and peacefulness.

Yes but one must be careful not to project false expectations in either good or bad situations but to discern them for what they are truthfully otherwise you become delusional saying good is bad and bad is good.

If only they would be able to sit and listen to constructive information that doesn't happen to involve increasing their personal wealth. It's hopeful that so many have listened to this. These people should be the influencers. Not necessarily ones in tube tops throwing sex around like a weaponized asset!

Manly has changed my life. I'm a stoic, but his teachings are amazing. Thank you.
I’m 30 minutes into this and feel like he’s talking directly to me. Lately, I’ve had a lot of trouble dealing with people and relationships. While I believe that I am “right” in many of my actions, it’s not being taken so well by others. While I seek to hold others accountable and make it my duty, I’m met with so much frustration in the end.
I get what he means by pure goodness, as I do have a bit of negative intentions behind my good acts.
Manly has been my “spiritual mentor” since 2006/07. Its great that he helps me to reevaluate my approach and attitude in relation to others.
This man is wise beyond words.
It's such a victory that you can really examine your own motivations and acknowledge where you may have faltered. This is a wonderful quality to have, I applaud you🎉

“Some take the attitude, the more we know the more we understand.” I find the more I know, the less I understand. I am humbled by this man’s words, and am just now realizing why his name was Manly, fittingly. Only in the Christ our Messiah, the Holy Spirit, and our Father the Almighty God, LORD of hosts, do I place my trust.
